The 5k figure is making a lot of Tesla fanboys coming out of the woodwork - I have been attacked no less than 10 times already for my “short” thesis and my skepticism similar to this article.

There is in fact a waitlist on the Bolt - I inquired about 5 dealers in my area for a Bolt and all said the car is about 8~12 month wait due to demand. Obviously GM doesn’t boast about it unlike Musk who gloats about everything.

So Tesla built more cars...by running its factory 24/7 at a significantly greater cost to procure per unit than GM does with the Bolt. And I already stated GM admitted to losing money per Bolt sold.

That’s not exactly “produced” - the whole idea of the 5k/week is the factory turning raw materials into cars at a rate of 5000 units within 7 days. That’s far more disappointing to say the least.

I “shit” on Tesla not because I’m a hater, but because I’m a realist. They constantly deceive investors, make up terms like “burst rate”, “production candidate” and now “factory gated” in an attempt to mislead media & the public. Their finances are anything but transparent - their filing reports are constantly changed

I want to know what “factory gated” means - Elon is making up words now deliberately to confuse “produced” and...whatever that means.

In an era of cookie-cutter design of cars from all segments, it is a breath of fresh air to see Volvo always marches onto its own tune. You may not like the way it looks, but there’s no denying it certainly doesn’t resemble anything on the marketplace as of today.

Psst...Volvo, that is a sign you have to make more. For me the Polestar is a bit rich - I think I’ll be perfectly happy with the T8 R-design.

I sincerely hope this was written in jest - I suggest a /s next time.

Small brands (e.g. Mazda, Subaru, Volvo etc.) need a theme to sell and be memorable. Mazda sells on having value-priced cars that drive as well as cars costing 2~3x as much. Subaru sells on practicality & standardized AWD. Volvo has earned a reputation of enviable safety and Swedish design. Mitsubishi...doesn’t really

Is the Outlander that bad? Sure the interior is a bit dated and the powertrain can use some refinement, but it is no means bad. Sure it isn’t as great as the CR-V or CX-5, but it is comparable to the Equinox and Journey which still sell in decent numbers.

Most rational car buyers would have immediately dropped their reservations hearing about all these nonsense going on at Tesla already. I wonder how long the Tesla fanboy cult can keep this company propped up on empty promises & dodgy accounting practices for.

This confirms Tesla is more desperate for cash then ever. The story is finally coming to a conclusion, and it is glorious to see reality settling in against all irrational facts Tesla and Musk spew out.

The better question to ask is “when is Elon Musk NOT an ass”?

The company will bankrupt before any reach serial production. The fact Elon has already gone onto the next thing (the pickup) before even finalizing the production of the Semi & Roadster is telling.

The Sonata effectively replaces the Camry in terms of beige. Could be a good thing for those turned off by the Camry’s new styling direction, but the Sonata isn’t as standout as it was back in its 2011 redesign.

Well it looks OK, but the misapplied name syndrome from Mitsubishi is spreading. Not that it matters - this would print money just like the rest of the small SUV segment nowadays.

I don’t think the V60 is offered in R-design in North America :(

Counterpoint - if the same “unsafe practices” and false information were to occur at GM or Ford, I can imagine a spokesperson would come out and address the issue at a professional level & try to keep a low profile in dealing with the situation internally ASAP. I CANNOT imagine James Hackett or Mary Barra enter into a

At this point, you almost feel sorry for the guy. The fact Tesla publicly announced his name is akin to calling the Tesla cult to action. Tripp & his family needs to find some witness/whistleblower protection before he ends up dead.
