I always enjoy reading the comments on Top Gear / Grand Tour articles because they really illustrate the variety of elements in both programs and the varied reception of each.

Eh. It will likely still make me chuckle. Seamen had some funny moments.
I remember when Jalopnik used to enjoy and encourage car culture
Yeah, anecdotal evidence sucks huh? Here’s some stats:
The Conti OWS tires are expensive, they suggest a responsible adult driven car as opposed to a Nitto Boy racer. it really does seem like a decent deal.
Long time comments section reader, first time responder. Happy to be here. Maybe it’s a mid-life crisis (recently turned 35) but, as a father of three (7, 5, and 4) I recently picked up a MK VI Golf TDI 6smp MT as my “new” daily. Got it after all the emissions work had been done, relatively low mileage, decent price.…
Roadsters make great daily drivers. I have daily driven my Austin Healey Sprite every day this past summer and fall. It will stay on the road as long as the salt says off the road. There has been no point this year where it couldn’t do what I needed it to, including bringing home a load of groceries and big bag of…
I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate this post. So much talk on Jalopnik lately about “once you have kids the fun cars go away, along with all your friends.” We have two kids under 3 years old, and we just bought a lemons style RX-7 FC racecar this year, and the little boys think it is the coolest thing ever…
Totally agree, though I’d add that I’m married with a 5 year old, and my NB Miata is still just fine. the kid’s car seat (now booster seat) fits fine in the passenger seat, you can turn off the passenger airbag, everything is right at her level and lightweight so she can see out the front and sides, buckle herself,…
Oh yeah, that it’s ugly.
“It Looks Like Harley Davidson Is Dying Slightly Slower Than Expected.”
Tesla is currently valued more than Toyota, VW, Ford, GM, and Honda - combined. Those automakers combined built half the vehicle sold in 2019.
I see a lot of people going from 2010+ 4Runners to 03+ GX470/LX470's to save money and get into something “nicer”. You can usually get one for half the price of even a 2014 4runner with 100k miles, and they’re better vehicles all around with the bomb proof V8 and center locking diff and 4hi/4low plus hydraulic…
A review written by an experienced development driver, with technical insights and detailed descriptions of vehicle dynamics - for a moment I forgot I was on Jalopnik! Great review - would like to read more from you!
If you want to increase involvement in motorsports, you have to fix the bullshit economy. Racing is for the financially comfortable, and there aren’t as many of those as there used to be. You need access to a good supply of money to race at any level beyond autocross.
Yep... RBR will come with hat in hand, sweet talking Renault. Ah, c’mon Ceril baby, you know I was just taking a piss, you were always my best, we were good together. All those championships... Don’t be like that. I’ve changed I swear...
Hey, Cyril. Sorry about shit-talking your power units for all those years, how’s about a reunion?
Did they fire whoever decided to ruin both a perfectly good performance electric crossover and over 50 years of brand recognition in one fell Mach-E?

That’s a pretty impactful cleaning house on day 1 for a new CEO. All of those people knew what was coming and given the chance to leave by saving face.
