I’ll bite. Sure, the point of the Scuderia is to win races. To do that the team needs a series to compete on a world stage with the max number of eyeballs on it.
It’s catching up. Retail and wholesale values are slowly declining, per latest Blackbook report.
Tip of the cap to whoever changed PG’s TheDrive.com hyperlink back to Jalopnik.com. And now I’m still here, still typing, still not reading TheDrive. Funny AND effective!
I dont know why I’m so surprised to see such confusion about the ways executives get rich and the chasm between that and profitability. Carvana has no profits. Its a money hemorrhaging operation that continues to need capital raises to survive, often at 6 month intervals. The execs get rich by selling a vision of the…
Carvana financial statements disagree with you. Traditional auto retail on the other hand, still profitable. Huh. See Autonation, Group1, even Carmax.
Wrong. The company is structurally unprofitable. The Garcias worth is fluctuating based off idiot stock investors which prop up this fundamentally worthless company. Profitability and company valuation are remarkably unrelated these days.
A summary of all the comments:
This is a "There I Fixed It" moment. But, like, an actual fix. Nissan should pay you a royalty for using the improvement. I dont see how they can ignore this it is SO MUCH better.
I don’t know what 370Z you drove but the steering and responsiveness in that car is telepathic compared to almost anything else that pretends to be a sports or sporty car. Short wheelbase was darty and nimble, body definitely never wallowed or rolled, and an NA v6 that revs to 7500 rpm. The Sport Pkg with upgraded…
Dealer GM here. High end pre-owned. Used to think manufacturer direct would solve problems; it won’t. Manufacturers are not equipped to deal with trade evaluations, the used wholesale business (outside of their own lease returns and repos), regional disparities in used car pricing, etc. This is a big deal. OEMs also…
So the rampant lies in a pump and dump scheme are all puppies and rainbows because stock price is up, but the questions and skepticism of a short seller should be illegal? Do you even know how markets work? Someone had to sell those stock shares you’re buying. Sorry you got duped investing in a fraud... the right…
South of the Border: Home of the best damn fireworks. Saturn Missiles are a great way to get back at your neighbors.
You missed my point. I’m saying Porsche tried to change the demographics for the Cayman while worsening it’s value proposition, and it is not working.
I just did a search for all new 718S Caymans in a 500 mile radius. 25 cars in the results, and not one under $80,000 MSRP, and several over $90k.
Z8 is a killer choice but not with 156k. If it were my money I wouldn’t want the nerves that go with that. Forget the Elise, it’s a PITA to live with on a daily basis... but why not keep in the family and check out an Evora 400? Supercar looks, it’s BRAND SPANKING NEW, and I have yet to see one on the street anywhere.…
Agreed. Get a perfect low mile first gen NSX. It turns heads just as fast or faster than a new one. Put on a great exhaust and update the suspension, add a decent wheels and tires. All in for 75k and plenty for savings or track days...
How about a counterpoint to the old British sports car with a new(ish) British sports car? I volunteer my 05 Elise as tribute.
Maybe there is a limit to what people will pay for a 4-cylinder car!
I was referring to your video called “What I Do for a Living to Afford Six Cars” where you never mention what you actually do for a living to afford six cars.
