You’d be surprised. For instance, I know a gentleman who extensively tracked his GT3 RS 4.0 and currently does his 918.

Actually, a *high* horsepower Porsche. The 996 twin-turbo is a screaming bargain right now, and you can do a season of track days on one without expecting anything to break.

The big difference is people discovered 911s are enjoyable to drive, whereas muscle cars are built and ride like crap.

Pretty simple - everyone has had a poster with a 911 on their wall. They want either that 911 when they get the money, or a 911 when they have the money. If they want that 911, they are looking for an older one. Every year there are fewer and fewer of the older cars available. So that demand drives the market up.

I really don’t think the craze over 911s at the moment is a “Bubble”. It’s a simple reaction to the new 911s and the fact they will never be able to make those 911s again.

Looked like LaFerrari was most aggressive on apexes and exit curbs. But agree, completely meaningless unless we know the pedigree/comparison of the drivers.
