Can I join? Force Awakens was just a rethread of A New Hope. I thought TLJ would be better as they had all the exposition done. But it was boring. It was just the ‘culture wars’ buttons it pushed that gave it any heat. I’d had zero expectations that this one would turn things around.

Support thread for folks who found both Force Awakens and TLJ boring and realized you’ll never love Star Wars as much as you did as a child and that’s ok

I would assume they are aware of the inherent risks of transporting this material.  Hopefully they give it the proper protection.

1) Range declined at a rate much higher than expected. They acted with a range left reasonable to find a charging station. What is the exact range they should’ve started adjusting their plans czar of range management?

The other day I took my truck (F150) to pickup and tow a U-Haul motorcycle trailer to go pick up a bike a little over an hour away on a common route in weather that was below freezing. I did the math to determine the extra energy demands/efficiency loss of towing the light trailer versus my typical energy/fuel

Because that would turn a $5,000 trailer into a $50,000 trailer while also halving the payload it could carry.

There are cheaper alternatives:

Lucas-Home by Dark.

The Symphony of Sympathy. That’s beautiful.

Great, glad to hear it.

I agree.

What EVs need to become mainstream is essentially a Beetle. A cheap, reliable car that most people can afford and doesn’t punish you for buying a cheap car.

5th gear: Let’s all join together to play the world’s smallest-violin symphony of sympathy for communist China’s billionaires.

How much more evidence do we need to see that EVs aren’t ready for prime time, consumers don’t want them, and everyone should cool it with the ‘imminent and inevitable’ talk?

I’ll take the 95/96 steering wheel any day over the earlier ones.

We have to apply our modern sensibilities to a film portraying a particular time in history, apparently.

This. So much this.

I understand that this is mainly picking on a ridiculous New York Post article (which is probably redundant), but I feel like this great movie is now balancing on the precipice of being a poster child for a bunch of hot button political topics, and I only ask: can we not?

Whoa whoa whoa, You cool down with your logic. Who would want to drive with no fuel on a daily basis, but have an engine to account for any range decrease from heavy loads and towing when needed?

14,000 lbs towing capacity for 20 miles.
