Boy that really is an oddball. First year of the updated grille/headlamps/bumper that would last through 96, first year of 6-lug wheels. Definitely don’t seem many with the 8-ft bed either.

I honestly believe that most salespeople at dealers think ANY transmission that needs to be shifted (even an automatic that has to be shifted from park) constitutes a manual transmission.
Trump profited so much from his time as President that he’s worth $600,000,000 less than when he took office...
I always felt that if they had built an Equinox variant of the Volt it would have sold in much better numbers than the Volt. They could have called it the “E-quinox”.
If that’s the future of vehicle interiors, it’s truly depressing.
I believe when the British motorcycle industry was dying in the mid-70's (thanks to the Japanese manufacturers eating their lunch) BSA, Triumph and Norton were all combined and received government subsidies.
That is a cool car, and a pretty decent price to boot!
I was going to buy my Chief Vintage new, but stumbled upon a bike with 300 miles for a substantial discount and a ton of accessories.
I’m saying if I wasn’t smitten by how beautiful the Chief Vintage was, and how great the 111 ci motor they created ran, I would have been at the Harley store with money for a Road King or Heritage Softail as they are decent bikes too.
Riding two up on a smaller bike doesn’t leave much room for moving around and stretching.
I’m a millenial who started with a Yamaha, got into Triumphs and then decided to get a large touring motorcycle. Since I already had British bikes in the stable, I wanted something built in America. I decided on a Indian Chief Vintage, but if Polaris had not done the amazing job re-inventing Indian, I would be riding…
Unless it’s Tesla...
Conspiracy theory: Lana’s new husband Robert is the head of the new “evil” organization.
I literally lose it every time I see an add for “manual transmission” only to have it be an auto.
Congratulations! I worked in dealerships (service advisor at one, then parts consultant at another) for seven years and I have to say, working in a dealership is a truly miserable/soul sucking experience. I always treat people as well as I can when I have to take my vehicle in because I lived the misery once.
It was a heavy half-ton pickup that, due to it’s higher GVWR, was able to skirt emissions laws and be built without emissions controls equipment. I believe they were built from 1975-1980.
Assuming your Mom probably grew up in the era of slant sixes, 318s and torqueflite transmissions, they likely were VERY dependable.
Amazing pictures, thanks for sharing! Hope they’re able to get everything cleaned up for you soon!
Hahaha, I wish. Though I do have an older Power Wagon, but the toolboxes weren’t as common on them.
Yes it was back in the day, and it was fantasic!
