Quite possibly the most beautiful car to come from the 1950’s. Life goal is to obtain one of these...someday.
As a fellow citizen of Southeastern Michigan, I am surprised/have to laugh when you say it’s “pretty rough”. That thing is a dream project compared to anything you’d purchase above the rust belt. Trust me, I’ve owned my fair share of 1980’s trucks that had spent their entire lives in Michigan and most of the time…
I’m going to have to say any (domestic) pickup truck/SUV/car from the 1980’s and 1990’s that is in mint condition and has been babied its entire life. I’m talking original owner, garage stored, not taken out in the snow vehicles. This is a vehicle where 99% of its brethren have been crushed/destroyed, rusted out, beat…
You guys in California/Arizona/Deep South don’t know how lucky you are when it comes to old cars. Any one of those things would be a killer project north of the rust-belt. My 1969 Valiant weighs more now than it did when it left the factory after putting so much metal into reinforcing the frame.
Took my Dad to this place on Saturday and had a great time! Their prices are fantastic, and the staff was great.
If that PT Cruiser wasn’t in California, It would be in my driveway right now.
“Ford told the Institute that they’re studying the possibilities of making changes to the Extended Cab.”
Boy I wish I had access to a computer yesterday, I bought a truck with a blown motor from a Michigan “politician”. After getting the motor rebuilt, my buddy and I were cleaning it up to sell (interior was filthy) and found an old cell phone filled with other political figureheads phone numbers. Wish we had the nerve…
Block and heads.
Add British motorcycles to that list as well!
I got one of those from a swap meet for 25 bucks, all it needed was a coil. Ran the hell out of it, what a blast!
Thanks! Working on/riding it is my version of therapy.
I KNEW A TORQUE GAUGE EXISTED SOMEWHERE!!
You are my kindred spirit Steve.
As I recall, that is precisely what happened. :)
It is what he was actively racing on the weekends (prior to going to Husqvarna and Honda).
I always read they picked the Triumph because the BMW’s couldn’t handle the abuse!
