Came to post this, good job!

I would have to say taking a wrench to any undercarriage component on most vehicles that live above the rust-belt.

HA! Good luck! The 3.9 V6 in these trucks was good for 125 HP and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The ‘89 Shelby was the first Dakota to offer a V8, and the 5.2L (318) was good for 175 HP (5 more HP than the standard 5.2 used in the Ram since it got an electric fan).

SONOFABITCH! I sent this same issue to Automatch Tom two weeks ago!

I only wish I could give more stars.

Are you really that surprised? Look at the City Express and the Nissan NV200. Chevy basically slapped a bowtie on the grille and steering wheel...that’s it.

I made the Top 10! This is one of the proudest moments of my life!

I’m a fan of the “Wall of Death”.

Yup, I looked up “Serra Automotive Group” which is the dealership group I worked for and this dealer wasn’t listed. Totally unrelated.

Looks like this Serra is unrelated to the Serra Auto Group that I worked for. Sorry for the mistake!

You know, it is a shame. I worked for one of Serra’s dealerships in Michigan, and Joe Serra is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I imagine he is pretty upset about this.

This is a truly amazing gif, and my day has been made better by seeing it.

+1 for Red Green reference!

I’m not too picky, as long as it has full mechanical instrumentation (speedo, tach, oil pressure, temp, fuel, voltage).

I’m digging the Robert Frost reference!

I’ve driven trucks my entire life, but I have to admit that I’m not the best with maneuvering a trailer.

The older Trumpets were definitely finicky. I have a 1970 TR6R which is single carb-makes a big difference. But you are right, they enjoy being worked on.

I’m kind of confused by your response. Are you insinuating that they are unreliable?

Grew up around them. Dad owned numerous Dakota’s throughout my youth. I’ve owned over a half-dozen. Just great trucks. Everyone here get’s excited thinking about Panthers or Miatas or Brown Diesel Wagons, I get excited thinking about Dakotas.

My obsession with Dodge Dakota’s borders on being unhealthy. If I had a ton of money I would have a fleet of 1st gens, 2nd gens and possibly a few of the 2008-12’s. (I love the trucks, but even I think the 2005-07’s look awful.)
