That main gear inside the mono-arm? It’s made of cheese and wears out if you don’t open up the transmission and lubricate it periodically. When it wears out, the arm fails to retract and your wiper hits the edge of the windshield and flies off at 80 during a rainstorm. Fortunately, replacements for this gear are

How’s the air conditioner? The one in my NC Miata is tragic and I remember Stef complained a lot about the one in the CX-7.

Raining horribly, in my Miata. Good tires and all, but not the optimal car for the conditions. So, I’m carefully making my way up the ramp to the interstate. There’s a Ford five hundred behind me, who’s very impatient. Trying to squeeze around and such, tailgating extremely close. In fact, I’ve watched him be

Or don’t turn your lights off. My car has a switch but the lights are on regardless of the setting. Why would you turn them off?

Chevy is using the SAE standard, like the i3, Volt, VW, etc. Asian cars (Leaf, Kia Soul, etc) have their own standard (and are SAE compatible, usually) and Tesla does a third thing that nobody else is compatible with.

My idea was to have an LCD element over each digit, then make them opaque randomly and switch which ones were opaque every millisecond or so. It would look darker to the eye, but a camera could only pick up some subset of the digits depending on when exactly it flashed.

So your computer updating itself automatically is the devil and must be stopped because we are Independent and have Control, but when your car (which could kill you) does it, it’s a paragon of technology and science?

But is it as happy as what we all know is the answer?

Some games, particularly arcade games, store cryptographic keys in battery-backed memory. If the battery fails, the ROMs still exist and the data is there, but it becomes useless. It’s also possible for the battery to leak and destroy the circuit board.

They’ve got a massive 320kWh battery in them still. They can probably run entirely on battery for couple-hundred mile freight trips (which I understand is the vast majority) and be recharged at the warehouse. They’re also making a day cab version, which might do away entirely with the hydrogen system and be designed

Hey, if he dies, he didn’t learn his lesson. Plus the opportunity for making fun of him by his friends and family has been increased dramatically.

I’m tall with a Miata. Put the top down, raise the seat up, and ROLL!

I think the idea was to repurpose the A/C clutch as a switch for the supercharger, so you can still get that VTEC just kicked in yo clunk.

Is that a remote to unlock it? It looks infrared. That’s pretty sexy 1987 techo though!

is that not 97% of this post?

Um why does it have a TN front plate? TN doesn’t have those. It even looks photoshopped on, as if some intern didn’t do their research.

But if I paid $5000 for the tech package or bought a nicer model cause I want a little more style than you, I sure as hell want to know if I’m wasting my money. Besides, modern cars are so good at just getting you there that it can’t be differentiated.

That kind of happened to me. I got rear ended at a stop light by a formerly stopped vehicle. I think he blacked out and his foot came off the brake. Guy gets out, looks dazed, and falls over onto the ground unconscious. I call 911 and the ambulance and cops clear him to drive away. What the hell?

well there’s no car sold in america today where that couldn’t happen
