It was reported a few years back Dominic West was almost Mance Rayder. That could have been neat and captured Mance's charisma more, although I came around to Ciaran Hinds after my initially disappointment with his performance.

Re: Princes and Game of Thrones

One of the first times I learned about the death of someone I was familiar with directly from the A.V. Club, not from another site or social media first. That felt so strange, I could hardly believe that headline meant what it seemed to mean. As everyone will say, what is with you, 2016?

Walmart Kardashians?
(Am I doing this right?)

The songs are fun and catchy. I see people say the music is nothing special but I believe it's legitimately a notch above typical Broadway or rap. I also appreciate its very idealistic take on the America dream.

Um, so I like Emily Nussbaum's writing a lot…
…And Hamilton, which is apparently a hugely unpopular opinion here…

I'm good with the moment as humanizing Superman enough in Wayne's eyes that he chooses not to kill him and helps him out with his mother, but it felt weird that it apparently changes his mind about Supes so profoundly that next scene he's calling Superman his "friend."

I see claims like that a lot. It feels like in trying to defend Pot and other substances as having legitimate medical purposes in some cases, Cracktivists have let their case balloon into this myth that they're magical remedies from the gods for all human problems.

Was that the thing I watched for 10 minutes on ESPN 2 the other day with college teams? I found it weird because the TV announcers sounded like real sports announcers, not some "nerds" ESPN had hired. I assume they were the latter but for whatever reason decided they should talk in the Sports commentary way, even

One in my town in Northern Illinois. I don't go there as much as I used to, but I like it. I was worried about its ability to survive a couple years ago when they removed a part of the store so it could be remade into a Pizza Store connected to the Family Video, but whenever I happen to go in there seems to be a fair

There might be higher brow stuff she could do, but becoming a block-buster action star is a pretty fun and unique opportunity for a 40+ actress in Hollywood. I can see why she's up for it.

It seems like her part in Civil War will be much bigger than Gjokaj's in Avengers (in terms of importance if not screen time). That makes it a little harder to ignore.

I've heard Toobin and the writers of this show strongly refute and discourage this theory, but did anyone else weirdly feel like those long shots of his expressions at a few points were trying to imply it as a possibility?

I loved the "God, they've discussed this case less than anybody in America!" line.

Being someone too young to have closely followed the OJ trial when it happened, I didn't come into this show with intricate knowledge of everything that went down, which in some ways may have made it more fascinating to watch (Though there are parts that I'm sure made more of an impact for the people who watched this

"it says an evil magic person 'rips her teacher’s heart from his chest,' so the girl has to—hold on, because it gets crazy" I laughed at this point from the fact that a person getting their heart ripped out of their chest wasn't the "crazy" part of this children's book.

But that's going to be rated G since no one will be able to see it anyway, not even in IMAX.

ABC's "Still Star Crossed" for the second hour on Sunday.

On a whim I decided to listen to the Hamilton Cast Soundtrack this week. Hey, this is good! Maybe too good, actually. I was constantly listening to it all week, and it got to the point where I’ve started to at random times just whisper lyrics from it to myself. I don’t think I’ve ever responded to music in that way

I kinda wanted to her Cavill's answer, but I loved the "I agree"
