That sound you hear is the sound of engineers and accountants actually agreeing to kill this idea dead.

Make it say “Good morning Dave.”

That looks expensive to repair.

And just when a driver needs to take over the system that makes the steering wheel come out will fail to function.

Meet the future, I guess.

fuck damn. that transformation sequence looks something straight out of Halo 5 Forerunner shit.

I recommend a full military burial with honors per the request of Toledo Ohio

Up here in the sticks or northern Ontario we call that a pole line and literally drive our sleds, quads and trucks under them for hundred of kliks at a time. I do know what induction is and we’ve never had a problem while under them. During fog or wet snow events you can literally hear the things just zinging with

That’s a load of crap. A car is not big enough or close enough to high power lines get an induced voltage that could cause you any harm. People park under these all the time and the higher the voltage the higher the towers are. Inverse square law and all that.

That Jeep may be hip-deep in mud, have a broken drive shaft and other assorted problems, but do NOT call it shitty. Any XJ that dies off-roading deserves our respect.

Yeah, but the truck is in the bog. It is grounded (heh) in the most literal way.

I should have added this in the post but... who running this towing company would think anybody’s going to pay $50k to get their shitty XJ back? Or that this guy even has that kind of money?

If you watch the gif of the jump you can see the bottom suspension arm bending.

I’ve never seen such a complete lack of traction in snow-I’m guessing there was some ice buildup as well. I mean, I drove an NA Miata through the last 16 winters here in Chicago, an I never roller skated like that! And I never even bothered with proper snow tires, just all seasons.

Some VW geek would love to have this, but 27 large can buy you a BRAND NEW half ton truck that wouldbe immensely more reliable.

Never officially sold in the U.S.? I'm pretty sure they were up here in Canuckistan, but not in massive numbers.

These things are awesome. This price is not.
