My Suburban begs to differ... although it’s not a current gen truck either. 2002 2500 with some chunky tires does really get the job done in a surprising amount of places. While carrying 7 people. And all of their stuff.
They’re not going to handle the rubicon, but I have taken one on some pretty rough terrain in Baja without issue. And it was reasonably comfortable with 6 people, I can imagine much worse my friend.
