But Doug, I bought my SUV to haul my kids and stuff and boost my self esteem instead of driving a station wagon or minivan. It was not intended to go through rough terrain. I don’t want to scratch the paint or get my SUV dirty.
You’re just in the wrong state. I was stuck in traffic last week (S2000 has surprisingly limited off road capabilities) when the Jeep directly behind me drove off a bridge, forded a river and crawled up the rocky embankment on the other side to pass through an empty lot into a neighborhood with no cars.
Now, this is a pothole.
I love me a good old flip side window or a crank window once in a good decade or so. Then I realize how much they suck.
I will celebrate only one thing about rat rods: they represent the fact that in North America the average person is still allowed to build things. You used to be able to build yourself a house, a car, and who knows what else. Thanks to ever-expanding regulation, those times are sadly nearing an end.
Large rims on all cars. I don’t mind if you go aftermaket and choose to do this. But please stop putting these on family sedans and hatchbacks out of the factory.
