If you’re old enough/judged responsible enough to drive a vehicle on public roads, you’re old enough/responsible enough to face adult charges for vehicular crimes.

Z31 Nissan Z to the Z32 Z..

Torch, do you prefer side markers to the default alternative used in the rest of the world, which is side turn signals? These started to become popular only recently in the US after manufacturers added them to mirrors.

I get the all the arguments being made here, and I can see how being used to american-style markers could have an impact while driving in Europe, but honest to god, as a european driver I have never been in a situation in which I felt american style side markers would make much difference. I mean, I love them because

Ford should be forced to recall EVERY FUCKING ONE of those douchebag quad beam “low” beam lights that simultaneously flood EVERY rear and side view mirror all at once.

This. Dear fucking god the brightness of some headlights is deadly dangerous bullshit.

I wonder how Volvo gets around it for EU. It looks like they install side reflectors and side lights both front and rear on all their cars (orange front, red rear), USDM or not (which makes sense given US is such a big market for them).

If we had one global standard, I best be able to see at night better then I do now.. Otherwise, I’d be the dude to sue every country/the UN as I see fit: I already can’t stand some lights our new cars come with, they’re literally designed to make other drivers BLIND. They do NOTHING for safety, unless you’re the only

Also no mention on Lancias? Volvo in terms of safety?

The fact that the fucking Aztek is in this slideshow and the Jensen FF isn’t shows that you need to be better at making it.

You pick it up and carry it home.

I was thinking that while reading. Most cars until recently had the ability to move a lever to neutral and also the little barely-hidden cover near the shifter to pop-off so you could (i think) do it without a key (and keep the steering wheel from locking maybe?). But with push buttons and rotary knobs become more

I sat on the side of 91 for 3 hours once waiting for a tow truck, just south of Hartford.

Apparently the author hasnt been in a car newer than like 2010.

I’m going to comment before reading the article.

In states where the first wrecker on the scene gets the tow, you end up with tow truck drivers speeding and driving recklessly to get the job.  The flip side is a lottery or rotation.  Safer, but then there’s no incentive to get there in a timely manner.

Several recent BMW products require you to jack up the vehicle(F10 chassis for example), remove under paneling and turn a bolt on the side of the transmission to engage neutral override for towing. Even for ICE cars, its not always easy...

Where do you live that you can get anything in the world brought to you in the middle of the night through a huge traffic jam in less than 45 minutes?

This shits me up enough to actually avoid getting an EV until these issues are addressed. I really want to get on board with EVs, but I feel like the whole lot are still essentially a beta test.
