Dork here. I totally would.

Old is not an ethnicity. You may not know this, but all people age. Way to tell on yourself, though.

Look, I’ll just say ‘anything I’m driving.’ Because, honestly, I am real done with these negative reader participation lists. ‘What’s the worst...’ ‘What do you hate...’ ‘Who is an idiot...’

Actually I think this is a very reasonable thing to say about meh cars: honest transportation that doesn’t portray any delusions of adventure, adrenaline, or try to convince you that it’s greater than it truly is. I can agree there’s a certain level of appreciation for a car that is wholeheartedly a car and nothing

It’s the newer version of our ‘95 Aerostar, but with FWD, no exposed black oxide screws holding the 1/2 acre interior panels together, and 20 dB less noise during WOT.

There’s something to be said for the bracing honesty of the bland car. It isn’t trying to hard at being something else. It simply is what it is, and that actually makes it worthy of appreciation.

Its easier to beg for forgiveness instead of permission....

That’s because we protect our beaches from dummies doing this.

because men are very, very fragile snowflakes in this country, that is why. I agree w/you..

My only issue with stow and go and similar ideas it that you end up carrying around the extra weight of the seats when you are not using them.

Jason, ( I try to say this calmly) I do not disagree with your position on this. I would like to discuss your disparaging of ‘fools’.

Why did you think you needed an excuse? This is Jalopnik.

Hopefully, station wagons, and then the cycle will repeat itself.

Been saying this for years, and I share your exact sentiment: FOOLS! Know someone with a gigantic Benz GL tank SUV and it’s such a cramped space and doesn’t hold anywhere near the same cargo as a bare bones Dodge Caravan.  Not to mention 10x easier ingress/egress on the van. Fools!!

For toting kids, it doesn’t get better than the minivan.  Also, have you tried to fit a motorcycle in an SUV?  Not happening.  Minivans?  Yep.

“Here’s your McLaren and $20k for taking it off my hands.”

This is why I loved the Mazda 5 so much. It’s the greatest camera car Jalopnik has ever had, completely underrated both as a minivan and as a fun car.

Minivans owners, when did you “give up?”

This is good thinking. But now give us a modern Previa (no not a front-engined Estima). Stick a second door sliding door on it, a modern turbo engine under the driver, and strengthen the front a bit (the hood area is basically empty so you could have a stronger cabin while still having some crumple). You’d have
