I get the impression that he drives them but doesn’t drive them hard... which is fine. As long as you take it out for a Sunday drive from time to time I don’t think it’s necessary to thrash an exotic to enjoy it.

it was a flippant post, not an outright statement of fact. Thanks for skipping the first sentence I wrote in your rush to mansplain a very well-known story to me. Enzo picking a bad time to sell a low-powered car, does not preclude him from being aware of the turbo’s potential (It’s also not true, obviously. they…
This is Jalopnik. There's nearly a chance every day to post a Volvo or and Engine swap. If it been a brown Volvo wagon with an engine swap you would have won this site.
I...I question some of his lines. But, damn.
Hurry-can? I'll see myself out...
It’s pretty typical of the era. Cocaine use wasn’t strictly limited to the paying customer during the 80s.
3500HP to pop the front wheels, eh?
Wait, so does it run yet?
Less Lambo, more Rambo
Now put 3500 hp into a Countach.
I have an issue with Ferrari Collector David Lee - he seems he seems to want all these great things but he wants them because “they are the thing to have” vs actually driving of them with any resemblance of driving enjoyment. Perhaps there’s a David Lee we’ve never seen and I’m wrong. The cars seem to be nothing…
Would have been a drag if he lost control though.
Lambowhili.
The Countach would almost do that stock. Floor it and the steering got *real* light ‘cause the front wheels were almost off the ground. Fairly terrifying, really.
My favorite Ferrari. It almost seems he talk the car down. Only watched half the video, which is unusual for me, but I didn’t enjoy the video. I think he referred to the Vette of that era having 350 HP; they might have had 230 HP or so. Awesome Ferrari.

Don’t want to dis the 288 at all, they’re all lovely, but, il Commendatore picked kind of a bad time to have “only” 395 hp (but it’s ok because the F40 went and made everyone forget how slow this was, and then Ruf came around and was like “lol, u guys are cute”)
This car is all right.
That’s only what you think...
