It’s a Gawker blog. Sensationalist is what they specialize in.

Watching youtube videos that agree with your preconceived notions is not “learning science”

Oh, those are just the hobbits. Pretty sure they live around Oxfordshire. Interestingly enough, they’re why they don’t have a lot of rollercoasters there- a third of their population (the hobbits) aren’t tall enough to ride.

Ah, Advertising Art. Those are indeed seriously small people. Either that, I didn’t realize that Triumph was equipping its cars with 22" wheels back in the day.

Ok, so you say you’ve been stone cold applying all that Science you have at your disposal and then you say that science is “political” and therefore bad. So why would we trust your science any more than, say, the science harnessed by the IPCC to characterize climate change? I know a glib answer will follow.

Then you need to change the gas tax structure. Because a lot of states and the federal government projected with those gax tax revenues. Now, you have government subsidizing the use of EV (giving away money) so that you don’t use as much gas (not receiving money).

“Why on earth would it be desirable to remove a life giving gas?”

Yes, and I think Norway wants to NOT become a New Jersey.

Biofuel. JetBlue and United are already using a blend on some flights.

If the science is so flawed as you say, please go tell the Koch brothers. They will make you very very wealthy.

The blood and treasure expended in the middle east was largely for the sake of doing so and putting oil into the right corporate hands. If you don’t think the same will happen with the countless natural resources needed for electric cars think again.

don’t think of it as an expensive Lancia

That’s interesting: thank you!

If I wanted something temperamental and disturbing for normal observers to contemplate for nearly sixteen thousand loonies, I would get this mildly feral Evo from a dealer in the same town, and scheme to frighten people with rhd and my passenger holding a “detached” steering wheel to brandish at fellow motorists.

It actually can still be shocking, given that a car purchase is likely to be the second largest purchase in someones life.

As someone who lives right near that dealer (And frequently deals with them for work), that’s surprisingly affordable. Most of their stuff is hilariously over-priced (Likely due to how common classics and exotics are here).

Oh so that’s why gas is so cheap right now!

That is a damn solid price. Good ones here in Europe have passed the 15.000€ mark and it seems in excellent condition. Enough room left in the budget to bring the engine to Euro-spec and you have a very cool ride.

I learned this as well when growing up. Undercoat or suffer the consequences.

Wow. Something from the fever dreams of my youth. Being a euro car nut in the 70's was tough, so anything that came out was scrutinized and oggled, hard. This was way up on the list when I was a freshman in high school in 1976...
