Right?
Right?
Actually, I didn’t own it. I just happened to be the only one around who a) knew which way you push a wrench, and b) seemed the only one capable of staying sober long enough to complete the reassembly stage of any given repair process. I learned a lot from that car-including my limitations.
Those of us who have experienced the trauma of a Citation can often recognize one another. There’s the lines around the eyes, the minor twitching, and the ( now almost imperceptible ) flinching when the words ‘power steering pump ‘ are uttered.
This weekend I’m finally moving to a house with an actual yard on a quiet dead-end road. I am so looking forward to starting a hive with local bees from a farmer buddy. It’ll be a great excuse to grow some native wild flowers. Honey would be a bonus, but I'm mainly just doing it to boost the local population of…
Please convey a hearty ‘thanks, man!’ to your bro from someone who enjoys almonds and veggies-especially broccoli out of season in the Mid-Atlantic region
Well, I'm betting way more under- than over-steer...
Tires were my first thought. That’s a LOT of weight. Weight + speed mean deflection which means heat... a blowout on that thing would be freakin’ >scary<!
I just yesterday watched a gasser-style (former) lawn mower do a wheelie on Skull Garage’s channel. Wheelie-bars and all.
Wait, I thought LS was a universal constant??
I seem to remember that it’s the refinery capacity that’s been the issue for awhile now.
The interiors were crap, tho. That said, I'd still have one as a cheap beater if I could find a manual one worth having around here. Great DGAF cars
I did some semi-serious research some 8 years ago: buddy had access to a diesel( bad motor) one, I was pulling a perfectly-running 1.7 from my old Rabbit, had most of a spare Bosch Jetronic-K system, and a smallish turbo available....
There’s someone some 20 miles from me who is stockpiling these. He has one stripped & roll-caged that has visibly engaged in ‘rubbin’-is-racin’ ‘, another 2 stripped & ready, and a well-cared-for tagged example in the driveway. Property not easy to see from the road and I craned my neck every day I drove past while on…
Now, THAT’s true love!
Whaaa...?
I looked after multiple Saturns for a gf and her friends. Actually came to have some respect for them-and an abiding disgust for GM’s cost-cutting ways. The 1.9 liter was a decent design and pretty easy to work on, but GM saved a few bucks by not bothering with drain-back holes in the oil-ring lands, so neglected…
Gas-powered Hoverrounds, maybe?
Yeah, I’ve enjoyed that irony for years. However, as I neither go armed nor wear a bulletproof vest, I no longer point out to HD aficionados the area of the world where their prized merch is manufactured.
I caught that and cringed as well. I’m kinda surprised that Rich and/or Marcos didn’t suggest it. But, they sorta addressed that in the video: the hope or expectation was that the battery packs would give enough rigidity. And I kinda felt I was being a little harsh: she said up front they were winging it . I admire…
With you on the glasses. Dewalt makes decent dark bifocals and my company gladly buys our PPE: I just consider it free sunglasses
