There's a farm collective called Homestead Creamery which uses glass and delivers to homes in Roanoke, Va.  Good stuff, and well worth the price & minor hassle of dealing with the glass bottles. It maybe quaint, but the taste difference is substantial

I’m guessing you’re under the age of 30? Love it or hate it, the zeitgeist prevalent during our formative years becomes part of us. Star Wars permanently changed the popular culture landscape. You couldn’t escape the references and marketing even if you didn’t see them in the theaters or on TV.

I know it was a faulty part. I’ve been there myself with a wheel cylinder which was bad out of the box. Difference is, when I couldn’t bleed it properly, I removed the brake drum, found weepage, removed & returned it.

So, you’ve sold the 2 most solid vehicles you’ve owned?

Beautiful, man

Having been out in public today, my observation is that, if so, it is not in widespread use

Thanks for repeating this:far too few people know just WHY we’re told to always transport & stow tanks upright! I regularly see the 100lb ones transported horizontally.

Anyone remember the ( I think??) weight loss gum called Aids that came out in the early ‘80s?  Really bad timing for that name.

Was waiting for this reference, but hadn't seen this particular pic. That's great: thanks!

I’m betting that the gas station guy thought you were nodding off due to opioid use. A few years back there was a national news story about a couple who stopped for a school bus, then both passed out. With a toddler in the car.

For much of my junior year of HS a base-model Eagle was our party car. Not particularly fast even by early ‘80s standards, but reasonably capable even hauling 5 of us around. Sucked at cornering, tho-and my baseline for comparison was a ‘74 SuperBeetle

That particular one? No. I thought they were about 200 lbs, but google says ~250

Then please expound

And a DCT is faster around the track. Are you saying I shouldn't have a 3rd pedal in my fun car because I'll take it to a track day?

You stay right there: I gotta go sharpen my pitchfork!

A tire only has so much grip, so fwd does compromise either power application or steering when driven at its limit.
