I have not. Saw an old documentary-or maybe just a brief aside-on yt one icy afternoon whist hiding from idiots trying to defy physics on street tires. Will have to check the library.

Ford had some very definite ideas about manufacturing & society. Sometimes I almost think he saw himself as a feudal lord ( see Fordlândia ). Flawed, as all humans are, he still had many innovative ideas. I love that he specified the crating of parts supplied so said crates could be reused as flooring in the T. And

I still see a surprising number in backyards off rural roads here in SW Virginia. Typically between the earlier blown-motor K-car and the slightly later Escort with a toasted automatic. Often garnished with an over-cladded Pontiac or a sad Stratus( only changed the front 3 plugs/the distributor died ).

Is Blade the 21st Century Dirk?

I >always< do: I’m no fan of disabling the car behind.

Go to an HVAC supply store and get a bag of 36" Panduit-brand zipties. Work great in an emergency!

Not as classy as a 140 chassis, but I still love the look on CUV people’s faces when I come at them at a decent slip-angle

Star

Something else to consider is the huge influence of GB’s men-in-a-shed on high-level racing*. Without a framework for im-&exports, I bet some racing teams are starting to tighten sphincters. That’s not even taking the visa issue into consideration

I seriously respect his skills. But, at the age of 20, using that name just leaves me shaking my head.

Be that as it may, the way we were treated-by corporate-did not encourage my faith in the company. The local dealership was pretty good within their constraints, but hearing that there were no transmissions available for months at least, and the rather cavalier attitude with which they conveyed that soured me on

So, Nissan,

Drive it in good health, my friend!

Blade?

Gotta hand it to him: no GAF for unarmed authority OR a 3' drop. >I< wouldn't do it just because I like my current height, but I respect the man for carrying thru-especially as he isn't obviously drunk or on meth.

I expect to see this on Garage54ENG in a week or 2.

The rewards, tho...

I shuddered & noped more about the packaging of including awd & hybrid in that smallish space than reliability. Having worked on my sister’s Mini and her husband’s z3 MCoupe, I realized I no longer have much patience for fiddly plastic bits in tiny spaces. I will soldier on with my 300TD until one of us no longer

Sigh

Just this morning I saw a new(ish? I’m not even keeping up any more) Mini plugged in to the charger at the fancy hotel I’m working at this week. It had an S off-center in the grill. And All4 on the rocker. Having assisted with a bit of maintenance on my sister’s ‘06 S JCW, I shuddered, clutched my meter & 10-in-1
