As excited as I am for RE8, I haven’t paid close attention to Chris’ appearance in the game until this article. Is there a significant time jump taking place here? Because Chris looks like he’s aged 10 years since his RE7 appearance 4 years ago.

I believe their recent partnership with Levis involves official Mario overalls. But they’re just regular overalls with Mario on on them.
Except that’s already explained in 7.
I just replayed the game last week and at one point he reacts in intense fear when he crawls through a narrow passage crawling with bugs but says absolutely nothing when he encounters a monster for the first time.
I had trouble hearing anything else while the character was moving because of how loud the footsteps were. In a game where you need to sneak around and avoid monsters, that’s a major flaw.
Exactly! I viewed 7 and 4 as the beginning of new phases of the series. Both made huge gameplay changes and had stories that mostly stood on their own with a few small lore callbacks. They both still managed to thematically feel like Resident Evil to me though, especially in their latter halves.
This is the 8th main entry in the series. Playing as the same characters in the same situations, fighting the same monsters would be kind of boring at this point. And traditional zombies haven’t been a focus since 3...
This looks so bad. The comic book visual it looks like they’re going for looks like a cheap filter is placed over everything. And why would most of these characters even be shooting each other? It makes no sense in the context of the series.
Just played the demo and you’re not missing much. It’s fine, but very short and you don’t even really do much.
But it’s Resident Evil, so it’s not going to be supernatural. 4 and 7 seemed supernatural at first but then ended up being caused by another bioweapon. I mean, the game is called Biohazard in Japan, going supernatural would be completely antithetical to that.
I believe they meant Last Story instead of Lost Odyssey.
This was my biggest disappointment with Sword and Shield. First home(ish) console entry in the main series and it just looks so bland.
I’m in a similar situation. I make sure to set aside time for job searching (there isn’t much to find right now, anyway) and exercise each day but that still leaves the rest of the day where what the hell else am I going to be doing?
For sure. I was regularly chastised for how much time I spent playing games by my parents who regularly watched way more hours of TV than I played games.
If this wasn’t full of COVID-19 references, I would think this was published 20 years ago. Also, that quote from his mom...
Vivillon seems to have replaced it as the ultimate GTS trade since Poipole can be obtained in the Crown Tundra DLC now. Literally every Pokémon I look up on GTS now is asking for Vivillon.
I was unable to complete the most recent Kalos-themed event because a Froakie simply never appeared for me and never showed up on the radar as being by nearby Pokestops. Same for a Herdier in the wild for the recent Unova event. And this is from a couple hours of playing and walking every day of the event with incense…
I actually started playing again during the pandemic. I can walk in the area near my home and hit 3-4 Pokestops while never getting near, or even seeing, another person.
I remember seeing his new hair in Odyssey and thinking “Are they trying to make Bowser attractive?” Like I wasn’t attracted to him, but it really seemed like they wanted me to be.
This is a longer version of this gif than I have seen before. I’ve never seen the awkward smile at the end. Thank you for this.
