“How are you any better?”
Easily. Being homophobic and criticizing someone for being homophobic are not equal.

The article also says you can catch Victini in the Crown Tundra DLC, but I’m pretty sure that DLC just opened the ability to transfer it into the game from Home.
I think you’re right that the limited tour locations resulted in a little obscurity, at least before it became a bit of shared trivia online. Despite being absolutely obsessed with Pokemon at the time this was going on, I don’t recall knowing it was happening then. Looking at the list of performance locations, there…
They added a lot more, but still not all. I think there’s something like 600 available now?
Yeah, it’s kind of weird that the article brings up the simplicity of the new starters. If anything, starter design have generally gotten more complicated (though still overall pretty simple).
You can catch all Pokemon in this game’s Pokedex by yourself in a single playthrough, though some are only available post-game.
You can get all starters in Arceus, but there aren’t any others where that’s the case except the ones you mentioned. The closest thing in other games is that they have given out the starters through downloads/codes.
That was a good read, thanks for sharing.
I believe Donna Williams did a Reddit AMA a few years back and addressed the Scientology thing. Apparently it was a point of contention behind the scenes that the company running it did indeed want to put Scientology info on the site but it doesn’t appear they were ever successful.
If a game’s control scheme requires a player to “get good” at the simple act of turning a corner or changing the direction they are walking, then it’s not a good control scheme. That should be immediately intuitive. Fighting the janky controls to maneuver your character away from a monster is an experience the classic…
I’ve never understood this. Bad controls don’t make for a scarier game. Dying because I couldn’t navigate my character around a corner properly while being chased by a monster that seems to have no issue doing so is just frustrating. I enjoyed those old RE games in spite of the controls, not because of them.
Right? Shrimp tails were this year? I thought that was an early pandemic story. Feels like forever ago...
I just had to Google that and... wow. I’ll admit, I’ve put a ton of time in Sword & Shield but that’s from online battles which really is much the same experience as previous games. The more I think about it though the more I realize how half-assed so much of the game is. I usually just plow through the story mode…
My guess is some time travel or something similar. I hope, it could use an explanation. It’s Sinnoh, where the original game mascots are monsters capable of warping time and space so they could use that.
I would prefer they just make HMs out-of-battle moves you teach your Pokemon. That way you are still traversing the environment using your team’s abilities, which is way more interesting that just some random Pokemon, but not taking up move slots for battles.
It would be awful if that actually happened but giving the player a scare that it actually might have sounds pretty Kojima. Sort of reminds of the Psycho Mantis tricks.
Right, it is all within context and for that reason I would have to say, no, it would not apply to all players. A player wreaking general havoc in the game is one thing but a player thinking ‘I can’t wait to play GTA so I can murder some trans NPCs specifically’ is a pretty good indicator of that persons feelings…
The difference I see here is that the players seeking out and murdering trans characters likely already have a hatred of real trans people whereas someone just picking up the game with no existing hateful or violent tendencies likely won’t come away with more. If I were trans and I knew someone near me gets a kick out…
The trading aspect of the current online game also allows you to put together a fairly competitive deck without spending too much. You can purchase booster pack codes for pretty cheap and use those as currency for trades. My worry is the shift to to no trading and an in-game currency will make building competitive…
One of the things I really like about the current TCG online system is that it’s not terribly expensive to create a competitive deck which can’t be said for the physical game. I hope this move to an in-game currency and no trading doesn’t change that.
