When gas spiked in the 2000’s, people changed their behavior by getting rid of their gas-guzzling SUVs.

It would take pump prices rising to double those record levels to change consumer behavior, he said.
The worst film in the series is not 2F2F. The worst film is Tokyo Drift. It’s a spin off that they had to make 5 more movies to tie into the original storyline.
Wow! Great post! iPhone 11 didn’t include:
Pointless charging gimmick
Pencil with nowhere to put it?
New cellular technology that nobody is clamoring for and .02% of the population has access to.
That one thing that apple said they’d never have on phones (is 256GB not enough??)
Ports removed generations ago
Hard hitting…
Do you pay much attention to the BMW N54/N55 tuning scene? Tons and tons of aftermarket parts available, and so many kids that are making like 700hp on stock blocks with just a bigger turbo and bolt-ons.
Here come all the Mk4 goons (aka New Era Mustang goons) who can’t understand what area under the curve is.
That they have more money than you. People buying these things don’t bat an eye at $200k.
Wait till they put a battery in it. You think no leaf springs and manual are bad?
“The two rear inlets, their primary function is essentially taking exhaust thermal energy out of the rear compartment,” he told me.
Legit, my first thought on seeing this post was, “I wonder if Uber would let you drive a C8?”
Don’t assume the ‘Vert is for ‘old/feeble’ owners. Not having to spend 5 mins putting a top on the thing every time you park means that you drive around with no top a hell of a lot more.
I’m just sad that you likely loose the engine porn window with the full-topless version. I’m hoping that the cut for the Targa is…
They’ve offered targas and convertibles concurrently for close to 40 years. Bowling Green would be burned to the ground if they didn’t offer a convertible on the C8. The take-rate of ‘verts has always been really high on Corvettes.
They have always done both targa and true vert versions. You must not see many convertible Vettes. I’d argue that they run in too down mode even more than Miatas or s2000s.
So this thing starts under 60k and it looks and performs (reportedly) like an exotic. Am I alone in thinking these are going to be EVERYWHERE? And i’m not sure how I’m going to feel about them if they are as common as say C6's are on the road right now. Do you think it will lose it’s “exotic” if they sell 100k of them…
VWAG uses legit DCTs in the GTI, GLI, Golf R, TT, TTS, TTRS, S3, and RS3, none of which I’d say are unobtanium. I think the Dodge Dart also had a legit DCT option. I definitely prefer a clutch, but these DCTs are pretty good and don’t suck as much soul out of the car as the ZF8 torque converter auto that seems to be…
E-gear is a super outdated reference, and modern DCT transmissions are light years better than they were when E-gear came out.
Why are you disappointed? Just wondering. Otherwise, I heard it kicks mighty ass on trackdays and is rather easy to live with.
No I think the R8/gallardo were the last mid engined stick shift’s. Manuals aren’t really practical in this day and age with the power numbers cars are putting out. I’ve had a 700hp Porsche with a stick and it was fun But you could feel the transmission was the limiting factor in speed. You can’t effectively use a…
Reasonable question but I believe that these types of switches are pretty stable now as they’re used on all kinds of cars for DBW accelerator pedals.
“Passenger miles per gallon” in large SUVs and full size vans can make a Prius look like a gas-guzzler.
