Its been said before but I will say it again. If you are going to cover the IOM TT do something other than just cover the fatalities. Don’t ignore the extreme risk and the fatalities that are part of it but there are other aspects to this.

Nah. It’s no different from wingsuiting or surfing 80 ft waves or whatever. Participants know the risk and choose to play.
The original GM keyless entry system used a simple motion sensor (I think a small bb in a cage) that turned off the transmitter when the fob was motionless for a certain amount of time. At the time it was to make the battery life reasonable. I think this should make a comeback.

Hahahahahaha...sorry, let me catch my breath. With a 12, nigh 13 year old Audi you are basically buying yourself the scary Victorian house at the end of the street that everyone marvels at but you know people get murdered and turned into wall art in there. I’m telling you from experience, do NOT go in there.
“Yet it risks raising car prices...”
The 1-20 mph range was for the Trail Control, not the Live Valve which is active a higher speeds.
The Ecoboost suits this application very well. The only real benefit of the 5.0 is the sound, the power band is not particularly well suited to the Raptor. You can’t really fix lack of low-end torque with gearing alone unless you’re building a rock-crawler.
F-150 switch gear get abused day-in and day-out on millions of units. They definitively know the switches hold up to use.

While they are trading for significantly more than their original MSRP, they haven’t appreciated as much as those numbers make it seem. When new, they were already selling for significantly more than their MSRP. $200k-$250k was typical. Current sale prices have barely kept up with inflation.

The flat spot thing is largely horseshit. You’d have to spend hours upon sitting there just wiggling your tires back and forth to develop any kind of meaningful stress or flat spot.
You would have to saw the steering wheel back and forth about 8 billion times to see any appreciable flat spotting occurring in your tires.
What kind of F1 style-megasoft compound are you using on a street car that turning the tire while stopped is creating any kind of noticeable flat-spot?
Reaction time don’t reduce ET. The clock starts when the tires clear the staging beams.
No, it wouldn’t have. RT isn’t factored into ET.
Your reaction time doesn’t factor into the elapsed time. Elapsed time is measured from the time you break the starting line beam to the time you break the last beam. Your reaction time is measured from the green light until you break the starting light beam. You can sit at the tree all day and it wouldn’t effect your…
1.9 to the 60? What the hell?
A 1.9 60ft is abysmal for a car like the Demon. Tuned GTIs can do that, it’s pathetic for a purpose built drag car.
