It’s a completely different fight. The NCAA is going to exploit these kids one way or another and if that’s the case then they might as well be exploited to benefit an HBCU which needs the money a lot more than Duke does.

10x the salary for the same job is ridiculous regardless of the circumstances.
You know who agrees with you that it’s a big will and not if?
I think the best 4x games are the ones where a lot of systems have a very robust “automatic” mode. It helps people who are just starting out; it allows people who only like some parts of 4x games to focus on the bits they like; it lets people who love to micromanage really micromanage if they want; it helps during the…
Different powertrains (including engine and exhaust treatment system) already exist for the “same” vehicle in different regions.
It’s fucking hilarious that anyone would think the OEMs wouldn’t chomp at the bit for a way to cut costs if they thought it would actually be good for them.
Some people are so righteous about the TONE of this announcement/explanation but the fact that they even had to attempt to curtail a torrent of abuse by “getting in front of it” is the real problem, here. In a normal world, if anything, all they’d have to say is “Thanks for your support! We’re finally live! You can…
I think there’s a couple things in this post that people either miss or gloss over.
It’s because of vehicle development cycles. The LGW (HFV6 Gen 2 3L TC) was always meant to be put into the CT6. But then they decided they needed something with more power and the Gen 2 engines (LGW, LGX) would not be ready in time, so they built the LF3 on the Gen 1 architecture. LF4 was basically just an LF3 update.
They’re becoming progressively more common as OEMs look for ways to increase water jacket size and retain wall thickness in the areas around the spark plug well.
ITT: I can’t believe you didn’t totally spoil a documentary in a pre-release review.
I saw one of these on 696 (was it you?!) and it looked damn sharp.
Oh. Hard pass.
Holy shit is that one person with two accents or two different people because that segue was fucking PERFECT.
Correct, it’s not new. It’s not feasible in vehicles because the conditions under which it actually works is an incredibly narrow band.
No.
Not. Even. Fucking. Close.
(Former? Still work here but on different products now) spark plug engineer here: lol.
This is what sticks out to me. He doesn’t say “for this to be the only way out” or something to that effect - no. He says that this is the way it’s going to be, as if it’s been pre-determined and he has no choice in the matter.
