Funny you think this way. Do you remember the TPP? It would have made it much easier and cheaper to trade with a lot of countries... except for China. This means shifting trade away from China and towards other countries around the Pacific.

I think of bands like Vampire Weekend as good-for-ignoring music. It’s vaguely catchy, upbeat/tempo, cheery, and bright. It’s the perfect kind of mood you want a party to have. But on the other hand, it’s not so great that it instantly commands attention, drawing attention away from party-goers and to the music.

Yes, I think the reasons are different, but the overall idea is the same, I think - that the men’s division (in certain sports, let’s say) is not truly a “men’s” division as it is an “open” division but only men are competitive (due to physiological differences, for example).
