I not-uncommonly have meetings with our overseas offices. I also have the benefit of a pretty flexible schedule. Honestly, in some cases, I would prefer to just come into work later, stay at work through my late evening meeting, sleep in the office, get up early for my early morning meeting, and then finally go home…

What’s interesting to me is that a lot of these people (certainly not all) seem to be a lot more interested in the fate of HK since this incident. To a somewhat lesser extent, they are also a lot more interested in the issues with China’s record on human rights in general (read: bad).

I still maintain that all these independent active safety features on cars are just beta testing for autonomous driving. But honestly, I think it’s the best way.

You’re saying that Barra’s compensation is not relevant to the strike negotiations but no one is saying that Barra should pay for employees’ healthcare out of her own pocket or that GM cannot afford to pay for employees’ healthcare solely because they’re using that money to compensate their executives. 

Is removing some healthcare benefits, i.e. effectively giving workers a wage cut, “improving efficiency” or “streamlining operations”?

Because good leaders should lead by example.
