Considering the hardware they were jamming the camera into, it was pretty impressive. I got it on super clearance (probaby $20 when I think it was $80 at launch) and was using this for fun in highschool.

My goodness, you defenders keep coming. I never said Nintendo was mean. I said it was bad pricing, because it is. But, A+ on reading, good job.
There is something you do need to do. See, people are allowed to voice their opinions, there’s no rules against complaining on Kotaku’s comments section. So if you have a…
I’m a bit lost here. I love sprite work and all that but Secret of Mana’s spritework while charmingly nice always irked me because it wasn’t exactly animated super smoothly. It always felt stiff and jerky. I don’t have any nostalgia for this game mind you, I watched it through a Let’s Play after not enjoying the…
I really don’t blame you. I have no idea what’s up with PS4 and the games Sony is making but I kinda feel like their inability to even make a decent movie is creeping into their games slowly somehow...
I really don’t care about the numbers but when the creator goes SSJ2 is MILES above SSJ and SSJ3 is comically beyond and they do a good job showing this in Z but in the NEXT series. Here’s SSJB and it’s amazingly, AMAZINGLY better, stronger, more efficient than SSJ3 nevermind it’s above SSG which is way better than…
I don’t mind getting stronger and stronger in DBZ because it’s always been absurd. But past the Frieza arc it got a bit wonky then silly in Buu. But it still managed to be entertaining because each transformation/hairstyle was a big deal. Super doesn’t carry that over with the badguys but it does with the goodguys. No…
I don’t see what any of that has to do with the price. It’s a old game being ported all the same and the ideal goal for most devs is to actually compete in price or at the very least have the price realistically reference the age and what it’s competing against by other devs. Resident Evil 4 for PC would be harder…
What’s bothered me is the show does nothing to show any of this power creep. Nevermind the attacks don’t look as strong as the Ginyu days back in DBZ but even these big form changes amount to nothing.
If they had both games on carts? Sure, they don’t. So that doesn’t work.
Games rarely cost MORE on another platform, unless cartridges are involved (see the entire life of the N64). Bayonetta 1 doesn’t have that excuse. What do you think, the PC version didn’t have to be worked on at all? They just take a 360 disc, put it on steam and write it off? They have to implement graphical…
They sure did for GC and GBA, I don’t recall many GBA games that got the treatment though. I know Smash Bros Melee on GC and the like got released under that title.
Bayonetta came out on PC recently and it was $20 and it’s the best looking and running version. It’s been on sale for $10 more times than I can count. There was a point where it and Vanquish were $20 together in a pack.
Strange that the best version of it is cheaper than the Switch version by $10 innit? Both digital…
I look forward to the next DLC characters:
They had that program back on the Gamecube, but they dropped it around that time to with GBA games also getting the treatment. But after that? I don’t recall it.
Again, while I’m happy that new people are going to get to play these great games, it’s been shown through steam sales that developers not only sell more copies they make more money when their games are discounted.
For quite some time after the 3DS was out I saw New Super Mario Bros (The DS game) for the same price as it’s 3DS sequel at game stop. I’m not sure I’ve seen that except very rare games on other consoles.
Do they own Retro? I wasn’t sure since they’re in Texas. It’s hard to keep track of this nonsense across 3 competing consoles, 3rd parties and just trying eo enjoy the damned games.
Obviously they oversee the games being made, that’s any company. Gotta make sure they’re making progress with the money being forked over and all.
I’m complaining because I DO want to buy it. But it’s absurd that everyone else puts out their collections of 2-3 games for cheaper and Nintendo will put out what you could buy 3 years ago with less for more. Infact I did JUST buy it because 20% off at BB and a gift card so it cost me $25....technically. Really it…
Nintendo has been cramming their games with plenty-o-DLC. I think Fire Emblem Echos had more DLC than the cost of the base game. I dunno about Mario Kart because that’s never been my thing (besides the SNES one <3) they got Season Passes with games like Fire Emblem Warriors along with Zelda BoTW too.
