Translation: Don’t be mean to Nintendo!
Dude I had 2 die in one day and it’s literally the only console that’s ever died on me. X360 is the biggest pile of crap I ever owned in gaming life.
What’s your point? What does this have to do with a 3 year old game bundled with a 9 year old game being $60 again? When you’re also getting literally less in the box?
As I said in another post, that’s nonsense. It’s nothing to do with quality and all to do with numbers. They release their games in small numbers and they typically don’t re-release them on the next platform so their games hold value vs the likes of Sony and MS who put out the game, then bundles then they do a HD…
That’s really nothing to do with the quality of games and the fact that Nintendo is known for releasing small amounts of supplies and they (used to) not re-release games often. So, why buy God of War 1 and 2 when you can get God of War 1-3+the PSP titles for $60? I mean, I don’t know any other company that literally…
Capcom released dual packs of Resident Evil games for $40 each, bunch of Megaman games for $20, EA even back in the day were bundling Mass Effect 1-3 in a pack for $60. Sony put the Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly and God of War games in big bundles for cheap.
I criticize them because I do like what they do, I was one of the goons that bought the Switch day one because I’ve been waiting for this kinda thing forever. I had it with the SEGA Nomad (well after that thing was old) so when I saw a 2 in 1 like this I was sold despite the WiiU failing horribly (and me having that)
You say that but again, Capcom kicked out all those dual packs of the Resident Evil titles for $40 each or $20 for 1. Sony’s been insane with collections anywhere from 3-5 games for $40-$60 (Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Jak and Daxster). Metroid Prime Trilogy for 60 getting you 3 insanely great games, Ultimate…
It wasn’t just that. My receiver has 3 HDMI ports, so my PC got one, my PS3 and Switch. Not to mention my new set up didn’t have room for the wall unit. So, the fact it wasn’t going to be getting new games and it was already seeing limited use as it was even during hangouts..eh.
That really doesn’t bother me, they run better than the WiiU version and in a DMC style game it’s framerate > resolution.
I only got to play a bit of 1, it was gifted to me as a bday present and shortly after my 7th X360 red-ringed and finally fell out of warranty. So I never got to play it there, I got the WiiU version which is pretty good but didn’t get to play much of that either as since the WiiU flopped I didn’t hook it back up…
Ah yes I forgot that when it’s a big company that’s loved for it’s games it’s practices shouldn’t be criticized in the comment section. They need to be praised for charging more than others.
That’s the thing, I’m very happy these games are going to be played by new people who didn’t take the dive into the WiiU. There’s some amazing games that are totally worth having, like Bayo and DK.
Incredible that the same collection on a different system 3 years later costs the same, has less in the box and to top it all off didn’t even do that right.
This is the one thing that makes me a bit sad with this version of the game. With the portable versions it was always fun to have a dumb hangout where you get a pizza and sit around slaying monsters in the same room. Now you slay monsters in a room over voice chat which is ..fine, just I dunno. I grew up with mostly…
The hate doesn’t make any sense, you don’t like it? Don’t buy it.
That was a mistype on my part, and of course I can’t edit that post so, weee. Games ranged from $30-$50. I got FFVII when it was new for that price. But I would also see games float around the 30-40 range. Why? Not sure.
I ran into a similar situation with Misadventures of Tron Bonne, saw an entire row with copies for $10 each. New. But me, at the time was like “you don’t play as Megaman, why did they bother?” Now I want to play it, and sell and sell that row for it’s current going rate. I think even open it was like $90 last I…
That and many other RPGs or fighting games cost that much mostly because of the costs of memory in games. Devs would try their hardest to crunch games under a certain megabit threshold to keep game costs down. Chrono Trigger and Phantasy Star IV were examples of games that had inflated prices mostly due to the space.
I wish they sold them like this as an option so we can have a actual dpad for our platformers.
