It was made offensive by 4Chan trolls trying to make it offensive. Why do we want to willingly give this ability to those that would abuse it?

Exactly. We’re going to let racists dictate our very vernacular by simply making things go viral. And we’re going to talk ourselves into the idea that we’re “winning” a war on hate by doing so all while those racists laugh their asses off at how easily society can be manipulated, now.

If game sales had stayed static to the 90s- this would be true.

I seem to recall paying $49.99 for my pre-order Wind Waker and the same for my Soul Calibur 2 (GC) at Electronics Boutique. Been awhile, though.

“the hightened cost of development” is bull, to be honest. As the tools devs use to make games, especially art tools, become more advanced, they also become much easier to use and the skill-level barrier for entry for any games artist is much, much lower than it was 15 years ago. Don’t believe me? Google quixel

Hot takes: Games were overpriced for much of their existence. Publishers have driven up the price of development, not the market. Developers — the actual people working on the games — are about as likely to benefit from the inevitable price hike as consumers are.

I feel like you havn’t played an Uncharted game. Nathan Drake kills just about everyone without remorse. But I am 100% certain he kills predominantly white people. Hell in Uncharted 4 the private militia you are killing through out the game are all white Afrikaans South African expats, people who are almost certainly

LOL, Drake is an equal opportunity murderer.

“Despite the occasional tilting of this portrait, Spider-Man’s story and world were not a representation of the kind of New York that exists outside the TV screen.”

The thing is it’s marketed a a “pro” laptop. “Pro” is right in the name. That should include upgradable components. Pro’s need power now AND more power later without having to start all over again every couple of years.

I’ve had my 2018 15 inch model for less than 6 months its its had the keyboard replaced and the logic board replaced already. The first time I lost valuable data, the second time I was determined to not have that happen to me so I tried to backup and it crashed and it had to be sent it for more logic board work in

Word. Last time I spent this much coin on an MacBook Pro ($2,400 on early 2011 MacBook Pro 15), the logic board—THE LOGIC BOARD!—crapped out. Essentially unrepairable, as a replacement costs more than the laptop was worth, and was only warranted for 60 days. Despite legions of these failing, Apple only offered an

This is nonsense. At my company we had issues within weeks with multiple units and no one is eating near them. The butterfly keyboard and the overly short connector cable problem have been a catastrophe. We had one where basically the whole computer other than the screen had to be replaced on a brand new laptop. MBPs

After buying the MBP16 some of what I noticed is that the display has some flex to it when a small amount of force is applied to the top of the display frame. I did not expect to see that.

How’s the view from the Apple PR department? Did you get a window?

I see from your posts Apple can do no wrong in your eyes, but I beg to differ on their being the most reliable when it comes to warranty service. They do everything in their power to somehow say it’s user error.

Let a water drop or even humidity near it and suddenly it’s not a warranty repair anymore. And, with previous designs, the keyboards drained any spill directly to the motherboard. Easy to keep warranty claims low if user damage can happen without the user.

4k 60fps real time ray tracing is currently impossible, even with a dedicated, custom built >10k$ computer rig. It is not going to happen anytime soon on a general purpose 500$ console.

These promises of 4k @ 60hz with HDR and Ray Tracing seem so hollow. NVIDIA can only do ray tracing on cards that are $350 and even then can’t really do 4K @ 60fps. Unless those cards have a massive markup, I am not sure how its possible in a console price.

Yes, but dammit, we COOK with it. Let’s see you make all your lovely baked goods, sauces, and mac n cheese dishes without it!
