Chevy basically said the same thing about the brakes on my Z/28.....

In other words, just what everybody already knows. EVs use less brakes but still consume some. Brake wear varies by driving style. Check them occasionally. How does everything with Tesla become a controversy?

I’m aware of at least two events, so it isn’t a single occurrence.

Funny thing is, if someone with a Model X hooked up to one of those bro trucks there’s a fairly good chance they could drag it out the way. I’d love to see this happen.

I generally like people

Musk is the type of person who just speaks his mind. He doesn’t follow a script.

To me its more of a fun reminder of how dumb investors can be that the company’s stock was still worth so much despite the company being so close to the edge.

Whether or not Tesla ultimately survives, I think it has been a success for advancement of electric vehicles. Tesla showed it was possible, now comes the competition. That’s good for everyone, even if it ends up being bad for Tesla.

and how much have you donated to fix the root cause?  Great idea - let’s beat up someone for donating money / time / effort because they didn’t donate ENOUGH money / time / effort, all while sitting at our computers having donated no money / time /effort to fix the problem...  UUUUUUGGGGGGGGGG.  You could have at

Honestly I dont get all the hate for Musk. Yeah he says and does some pretty questionable things, but you cant argue with the fact that he really does try to change the world for the better.

Unfortunately, GM decided to make the Bolt ugly so as to not impact sales of their internal combustion automobiles.

When talking about EVs, efficiency means MPGe or mi/kWh.

Jalopnik = Shit!

Not a single one of these a Twitter jackasses would dare respond to someone like that in person. Social Media is destroying any social decency in the world.

If Nissan offered the 40 kwh leaf with liquid cooling for the battery I might consider it. As of now, that’s a bigger issue than the lack of capacity.

It sounds like a bit of confirmation bias, as every car reviewer comments on that. The battery range deterioration is real and the range dramatically drops in hot and cold weather. As someone who likes to mitigate huge loses on a depreciation asset, that’s enough to keep me away.

Tesla mediocre build quality is still better than Nissan build quality lol. Interior is still better than the leaf as well even with the build quality issues. You’ll find just as many creaks and issues on a leaf. But it’s generally accepted because they mostly make entry/mid level cars and not luxury cars.

My first internal response to this was “what the fuck?!?”. Then I thought about this....

How much would it cost though.

An electric car drifting is about as exciting as a Chevy Spark having a sport mode: yea it’s cool that it can do it. But what’s the point?
