Counterpoint.  Emergency services shouldn't have to pay jack shit to telecoms.  They should be forced to provide service for free as basic common decency suggests. 

While a good idea in theory it's been my experience in practice ISPs go out of their way to update their software in ways that hamper third party modems.  So you need to be careful to not just get one that is compatible but to get one near identical to their boxes

The KKK despite it’s history hasn’t really affected huge negative consequences on minority communities in the last few decades instead resorting to the occasional bit of terrible one off violence while Trump and his supporters have done both and the KKK has mostly been subservient to Trump.
