Based on the FlightAware data, I bet the 6,000 foot loss of altitude over roughly two minutes (3,000 feet per minute) was from the pilots trying to fly out of the turbulence. That’s a steep descent, but within the parameters of the 777.

That’s a tragic situation, but at least listening to the audio and video, from the single camera, it does almost seem like there were gunshots before I saw, again that one body came view, shots come from the cops. Not defending them, but it is possible that the victim shot first.
I dont think this was suicide. If he really wanted to likely kill himself, he’d just fly on a Boeing plane once a week.
