venerable genre? What amongst the 5 people who play them?

when geopolitics change so that the FPS games of the future are set in Tehran, we should make sure to have a dining scene with some arab compatriots. It’s a very ridiculous example, art imitates reality and for the last 20 years American foreign policy was heavily focused in the Middle East, simple as that

I’m a left-wing muslim (not arab but I’m brown), and articles like this is why Kotaku is a meme. Most people are smart enough to recognize reality from media and the dynamics of Israel - Palestine are so toxic because of 70+ years of violence and an inability to work towards a two state, not because CS:GO has

Smoking looks cool as hell, we don’t need video games to give us public health guidelines, put the damn cigarettes in

Smoking is cool and there’s literally no harm to having a FICTIONAL character who had it as an iconic part of his character design maintaining it as an homage to the old games. People like you will find anything to whine about

Most people I know use their PS5 as a platform to play their PS4 catalogue and said backwards compatibility is the main reason I want a PS5 rather then replace my aging launch PS4. So yes, very important

I disagree, remakes require work that is comparable to making a new game in many instances. My problem is that they didn’t use this as an oppurtunity to finally solve the “which version of PS3 should I play” meme by including ALL features from “the answer” to female protagonists to more anime cutscenes and maybe

HBO Max easily offers better value then Netflix tho

New Vegas has aged pretty damn well besides the animations imo, played it like 1-2 summers ago and I didn’t see the jankiness being noticeably worse then any of Bethesda’s ES/Fallout games

Remaster is preferred but bro just port New Vegas to current gen goddamn. It’s so messed up that Playstation players are basically fucked outta playing what’s easily the best Fallout game

I say this as a leftist but I’m sorry I think you’re stretching very hard to claim it’s a critique of capitalism. Of WW1-style military chauvinism and fascism/militarism? I buy that, but there is literally no mention or display of a practical market economy or a class system (besides alchemists vs non-alchemists,

right but the switch actually has a decent battery life (less intensive games ofc)

the design is just an eye sore, especially coming from the beauty that was the PS4

I mean the games selection this generation has been fairly underwhelming, RE4 remake, Spiderman 2, FF16 and the MGS remasters are the only games on PS5 I’m interested in getting and 1/2 of those games aren’t even original titles.

I mean yeah, the game is a lesser Fallout: NV, this game would’ve had a far better reception if it had come out first

nah I despise the weapon durability system in BOTW, my biggest issue with what was otherwise an excellent game

50 games is nothing 3/5 of them will be worthless shovelware

His statements sound correct in this case tho? In a video game when I (the protagonist) die it usually IS failure cus video games emphasize power fantasy more than TV shows. You’re usually supposed to kill the bad guy and shoot up 30 of his goons, in TV being able to rampage that hard doesn’t make sense so action is

God of War 2. Plenty of SONY games are fun, they’re solid third person action games which is what a 1/3 of all games are anyways?

this analogy doesn’t work, some video games want a more grounded realistic approach with cinematic storytelling so shooting laser shotguns wouldn’t work (GTA Story Modes, TLOU). Others want more zany action where “video gamey stuff” like said laser shotgun is VERY MUCH welcome (GTA Online/Saints Row/ Just Cause)
