(lengthy explanation of why the pitch to Escobar wasn’t intentional)

If you think Tulo was hit intentionally you’re an idiot. Putting a guy on on purpose in a one run game with their best hitter on deck? Fuck off with that noise. Volquez threw a real heater high and tight (I mean, if you ignore the fact it was low to mid 80’s change up) and then Madson dares to pitch a power hitter

As a Royals fan, I think you’re right with all except suspending Volquez. And I would add in it was totally worth the suspension for Gibby to come back out. Very, very funny.

Right. Ignore the inside the of the plate because of a warning. The Royals didn’t hit (or try, or come close) to hitting one Jay after that. The only intentional hit the entire series was on Escobar (which is dumb, and could have cost them the game).

According to the actual game (more accurate than this troll/click bait article), Donaldson was ready to go before the game started and was looking for any reason to fight someone. Warnings were issued because he decided to spout off like a little turd after getting hit in the first. Volquez did nothing wrong. Pitching

Hit Donaldson before warning. Tulo turned into an inside pitch on the 2nd HBP. Inside pitches are inside pitches. Donaldson and the rest of the wrecking ball that is the Blue Jays lineup wants pitchers to only use half of the plate. Royals refused to give it up. If they miss on the inside of the plate its going to be

I didn’t see your reply because I don’t know how the commenting system on this dumb site works and unfortunately I am not constantly scanning for any and all replies from people who were, like, SO wrong in the first place.

There’s too many misinformed people here to reply to them all, so I’ll just reply to myself.

Barry also lazily left out the part that Mike Moustakas did not play on Sunday because he was one of 3 Royals players hit earlier in the series and needed a day off to rest his sore leg, but you know, Barry watched the highlights on the East coast and immediately knew everything about the situation

What is wrong with you kids these days? Every pitch close to a batter isn’t an attempted beaning. If you want to hit someone, you hit them. Pretty simple. But oh no, everything just has to be about you.

This website often has so much bias and they don’t even try to hide it. I didn’t see exactly what happened here, as I was only able to watch the last third of the game, or so. But yeah, I refuse to believe the Royals just became huge assholes over the offseason, especially given that (at least earlier in the season)

I like that Ventura’s comments get made fun of. I know it’s always the one that responds that get’s punished, but Bautista’s were just as bad. And then Jay’s has been announcer decided to drop a cleveland steamer into the mix.

This article goes into more detail, but yes exactly.

The only intentional beaning was Donaldson. And that was Volquez’s personal thing because he thinks Donaldson pimps his HRs too much. Cain pimps HRs as much or more though so Volquez is kind of a shit head.

Could be worse. Those Blue Jays could have been suspended 17 or, heck, even 38, games.

Tulo was hit in the strike zone. Donaldson was brushed back on an 0-2 count and it was clearly not intentional if you watched the game. Esky was way outside of the zone. The warning doesn’t mean that the umpire has to eject pitchers for every HBP or that the pitchers can’t throw inside. The umpire still has discretion

Well, maybe it’s, like, because the Royals never intentionally hit anyone after the warnings were issued and the Blue Jays did? Maybe that’s why the Royals weren’t punished? Because it, in actuality, was NOT the Royals fault? Maybe you’re wrong? Maybe?

When I rule the world the punishment for snapping your fingers to summon a server shall be the loss of said digits. I can’t even read a description of someone doing that without a red haze descending across my vision.
