Call me when he reprises his Speed 2 villain
Was anyone really saying “gee, I want to go see the new Shazam movie, but I’m not sure where it fits into the bigger picture of the DC Cinematic Universe”?
Latter day AV Club writer has gall to complain about syntax.
I want a Captain Shaw show but I am guessing that his hero arc will end up with a heroic sacrifice and his death.
When did the fake shows from 30 Rock become real?!?.
Just here to point out that Kirk Acevedo as a Vulcan Gangster was a delight.
Captain Shaw absolutely cracks me up as a viewer, but as an officer? I would have slugged him like Starbuck did to Tigh in BSG and done my time in the brig. I’m amazed Seven has kept her cool (relatively speaking) for this long.
The other alternative is we could make none of these shows.
Maybe I’m playing too much Skyrim recently, but does anyone see Jack’s visions and think he’s getting flanked by creep cluster?
This was far, far better. No more preying on TOS / TOS-Movie nostalgia, but actually using TNG plotlines (you know, the ones involving the characters we’re here to see) to sink in emotional hooks. I hadn’t spoiled myself about Ro’s potential appearance so it REALLY got me when she showed up. Even better that the show…
I’d love to see Janeway but I’d offer up a kidney to somehow get a Sisko visit...especially since we’re dealing with Changelings.
Ro has always been one of those TNG characters that a lot of fans have wanted to return, but circumstances just didn’t allow it. That Michelle Forbes came back for this one-off was great. Her exchange with Picard I would argue is on par with his conversation with Beverly two episodes ago and with Lilly in First Contact…
and after she kills the two shapeshifting officers on her shuttle
To be fair, they’re probably only half watching while taking notes on what is happening while groggy at 3AM, and it was a blink and you’ll miss it site to site beam out.
Who do we annoy at Paramount to make this happen?
This is the first episode of season 3 that I watched unspoiled, and boy am I glad. That was one hell of a trip.
“Ro finds that she herself has been compromised: the Intrepid is in Changeling hands, and after she kills the two shapeshifting officers on her shuttle she finds a bomb planted to silence her.”
Do the folks writing these episode reviews actually watch the episodes first?
She killed neither of the two Changelings on the…
Admittedly, while it sucks they offed Ro, she got a VERY good sendoff.
I’m all about a Captain Shaw series!!!
