Ha, I know, it’s kind of insane. But I’m not going to copy the whole thing! I’ll just have onion rings.

She’s also incredibly smart. She used to write White House budget policy.
Ina Garten is a goddess so Bourdain can fuck off.
YES! So what, Ina’s rich. She’s a good cook and a good TV personality. And she owns it. Unlike Pioneer Woman and her fake homespun persona/story.
While I would never step foot in one of his establishments, I do enjoy Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, for the fact that it gives national exposure to local chefs doing great things in the culinary world.
But he can step off making fun of Ina Garten. That woman is a damned good cook, and her recipes always work. You know if you’re using something she wrote, it has been tested to within an inch of its life and the results are reproducible. Sure, she’s privileged, but she owns it and she is good at what she does.
Fieri’s schtick notwithstanding, I hope he punches Bourdain in his face and knocks the pompous fuck out.
Adam Richman is an asshole and I liked him much better when he was fat. Anthony Bourdain should feel free to make fun of him. Guy Fieri is an easy target- Bourdain needs to raise his insult game.
Say what you will about Guy Fieri, but that man is living his best life. Look at that man’s happiness! He exudes pure, unbridled joy! I don’t get it, but I’m not gonna knock him for it.
I’m stunned. Sad to see him go, the man was a legend.
Lomu was a great player, any rugby fan should appreciate his play regardless of what country they support.
I was turned on to the violent rugby stylings of Jonah Lomu when I saw Invictus and, damn, dude was an absolute force of nature.
A legend of rugby. Loved by those he played for, admired by his opponents. A sad loss for all rugby fans as you can see on Twitter
I played rugby in college back in the 90’s and when we would get together to watch international games there was always Lomu bowling over everyone and all you could do was laugh and ask each other, “would you rather get run over by Jonah’s shoulders or his thighs?”
What a terrible shame. I’m a Boks fan, but Lomu in his prime was an almost absurdly primal force, a rampaging bull of a man. He was basically rugby union’s version of peak Bo Jackson.
:(
“I really dug his weather pieces. Guess they weren’t political enough.”
The funny part is before Gawker Dennis ran his awesome weather pieces on Daily Kos, which is basically the exact political slant Gawker appears to be now looking for.
And Brendan O’Conner still has a job. Watching the Gawker night shift alternate between Brendan/Shitehawk posts is a clinic in dichotomy.
The one that made the least sense to me was laying off Parham while he’s been actively advocating for increased diversity, especially after John passed on Dayna’s piece about the treatment of women at Gawker knowing it would get run elsewhere. The optics there are not sublime.
“Without MUSIC baby, I’ll go crazy...”
