...people are afraid to talk about race because I want to acknowledge a wide spectrum of racist behavior, and recognize that you can do some kind of racist things without being completely evil? You have a very severe perception of racism. and maybe have a little more thinking to do on the topic.

If someone says something insensitive about race, then yes, they are racist. But that means that we all have an opportunity to evaluate our actions and try to be better allies.
