yep.
yep.
That’s what I thought when I read that quote. It literally makes no sense as a statement about Marvel, but if He/she meant to say DC, then, yeah, right on the money.
They’re not love stories. They are films that happen to have a romantic subplot, pretty much like 85% of all films made, regardless of genre.
I alway’s thought about this like the ending of the Soprano’s it;s not spelled out, but the clues are there i think. If you watch the episode where Ellen tigh first gets downloaded,(no exit, I think) she talks about another cylon model, daniel, who was boxed at some point. Then if you view “someone to watch over me”…
In the original seriesries from 1978, the cylon machines were created by an extinct, reptilian alien race called the cylon. I think the cylons killed there masters there, too.
agree the early episodes should have been condensed. It really does start to pick up steam on the back end, though.
I would defcinitely say finish watching. However there ar a couple episodes from season three so bad I would suggest skipping. “hero” and “the woman king” are terrible eps, (the execs kept wanting them to have standalone episodes, like star trek) That said, be absolutely certain to watch the season 4 webisodes, “face…
I re-watched the show recently, and someone suggested watching “the Plan” right after s4 E15, “no exit”, and it actually makes for a better watch, rather than after the finale.
‘Scuse me, 2,000, not 200 years earlier
I get why every one wanted A show set during the cylon war, but that kind of thing feels like the same trap as starwars prequels, you have to show so and so, this or that other thing has to happen.
I kind of like that it was never fully explained. I mean, this wasn’t a “lost” level of fumble, I felt like they answere just enough, and left enough clues that you can fill in the blanks. Like starbuck. I pretty much assume she was the daughter of the boxed cylon, Daniel. Which made her a hybrid. And that was the guy…
It’s not great. But if you do watch it, try to find the director’s cut, the story is at least more coherent
I agree with alot of your criticisms in the previous post you made. This where I’m hoping a good show runner,. and good writers can tighten it up, though not too much. Without the any sideshow escapades, the story gets reduced to like twenty issues, about a single season.
I feel like that’s what I enjoyed the most about it. he was like cain, from kung fu, walkin’ the earth and gettin’ in adventures ’n’ shit.
While I appreciate this casting (think jackie earle haley is great) I’m a little suurprised this character shows up so quickly, in season one. If I’m not mistaken, He doesn’t show up til halfway through the books run, if I’m not mistaken. Not that I mind them taking liberties with the source, I’m pretty ok with what…
No, but she was undeniably as active in shaping policy and strategy in that administration as any cabinet member, arguably as involved as dick cheney was to W. So yeah, the actions of the previous clinton administration are on the table for discussion.
Yep, it’s like they’re robots sayin “sexism!”. no matter what you say to them.
Guns are one of the only things i;m ot crazy about with bernie. However, (and OMG. can’t believe I’m gonna say something positive about gun nuts) there is a grain of truth that gun violence in this country is a symtom of both mental healt issues, and economic conditions.
You keep making the same tired argument over and over, that saying shes bought and paid for is the equivilant of sexism.
I know, right? Older rich white femenists, think nothing of the issues affecting black and latina women. I have so much respect for younger feminists who really seem to get that.
