I've seen this movie a half-dozen times and at the end I cry like a lost puppy, every time, even though I know I'm being manipulated.
If some of you younkers out there don't understand what the big deal is about that old freak Cher*, watch this movie and you will understand.

Have you ever, yourself, sung one of Hank Williams's songs aloud?
They are straight-up fun to sing.
Try it. Sing "Hey Good-Lookin'" or "Jambalaya." Pull that stick out of your ass and just sing. Those songs are just a blast to sing.
Hiddles is havin' fun.

For me, the cherry on top of this awesome ep was when that kitchen timer went off.

In general, the show does a decent job of portraying the paranoia of the moment and of the environment; but they sometimes fall short of conveying the reason for all this paranoia and inquisitional searching for spies, etc.
We are all so used to WWII being history, We were practically born knowing how it all came out.

Hi. I'm Too Much Cowbell. I read about this series shortly before it started airing; otherwise, I would have completely missed it, because I never—and I mean never—look at WGN. Haven't for years. But I tuned in to Manhattan out of curiosity, because damn, what a dramatically rich moment in history, what a terrific

I think S1 of The Strain gave it a run for its money, but the current season has been too boring to bother with.

Also, she straight-up fucking lied when she told him she hadn't taken it.

The only thing I know how to do with a slow cooker is throw a bunch of pork meat in there—almost any kind—with a bottle of barbecue sauce, go to work, come home from work, and spoon the results out and serve with some cornbread.

Wha? People were surprised by the colored poos? I thought colored poos were the whole POINT of the BK promotion.

Agh.
Season 1 was so laughably terrible that I kept watching and even looked forward to Sunday nights, because I just could not believe how laughably terrible everything was.
But I made it through three eps of this season, and realized that whatever dark magic they had going on in S1, it has evaporated, and I instructed

That is the greatest magazine cover in the history of mankind.
It was thought up by the late Michael O'Donoghue, whom I consider to be at least a minor comic genius, and it's been copied and parodied to death in many different media over the years since it was published.

Whoa, thank you for that link. I kept their Beatles parody issue for, like, 15 years, and then lost it in a move. I've missed it.
Other standout issues I remember are the JFK issue, and one that is all about Townville, OH (or is it IA?) and its denizens. Oh, and, of course, the High School Yearbook. I'll have to

I'll be sure to purchase some Doritos™ products on my next trip to the grocery store, in order to counterbalance the boycott and Strike a Blow Against Hate.

"[T]he web site doesn’t say what flavor the charitable tortillas actually are."
But that is literally the ONLY thing I want to know!

1) That is a loooong fucking list.
2) Who the fuck decided Cat Stevens' peaceful songs were a no-no on 9/11? That's some baldfaced racism right there.
3) Some of these made me laugh right out loud ('Steam “Na Na Na Na Hey Hey"')—does that mean I'm going to hell?

Oh, but nothing coming close to the babbling cretinous inbred descendant of Jesus Christ. And even that's just a tiny nibble of the smorgasbord of sacrilege in Preacher.

Just passin' thru to tell you that I love your pic with all the love and now I'm mad I didn't think to snag it & use it myself, but if I do that now I'll just look like a copycat.

I really liked the Preacher series and I fear for this TV adaptation.
I mean, there's no way this story can be televised. No. Way. Not in these here United States.

A lot of the dialogue in Hannibal is simply so gorgeous it's poetry. That, and the insights the dialogue often provided into the characters, made me feel that I knew them intimately.
I think Mr. Robot is aiming for a different kind of intimacy. I think we're meant to follow along with Elliott through the twists and

He may be a bit Gilmanesque in the eyes but he is a tremendous actor. He's killing it on this series. He's mesmerizing.
