It’s harder to monetize a video call in a meaningful way. Meta is first and foremost an advertising company. First they try to get you into the world, then they track what you do, then they use that information to sell targeted ads.

I guess it must be the personal info thing because it’s not much harder to change a normal cell phone number than it is for a prepaid phone as near as I can tell. On Google Fi at least, it seems like I can just change it on a whim by contacting the helpdesk.

My Pixel 6 Pro does me the favor of disabling tap to wake all on its own at least once a day, unprompted by me while sitting on my desk all day. It seems to be a bug that is resolved on restart but it’s pretty annoying.

I have the $9.99 tier of NFL+ and can stream it through the NFL app on my Chromecast with Google TV and it also works well on PC. I haven’t used it a ton yet but seems to work well for what I want to watch, which is games from my hometown in another state. No idea how it handles local games yet.
