The real victim is 100% George Floyd.

We’ll likely never know, but my assumption was that if he’s this abusive in public he’s almost certainly abusive at home. Possibly she’s taking this opportunity while he’s in custody to start proceedings while he’s unable to physically retaliate.

Excellent essay.

Kathryn had built up so much goodwill publicly because Thomas is so fucking awful, she was abused by him, and the custody shit was horrendous. Also when Patricia continued to support Thomas and shit on Kathryn, even when it was clear that Thomas was manipulative and using the kids to control her, that bolstered

My kids are adopted— my son has significant needs, so a few things: The terms gotcha day and rehome are terms used in adoption. I have 2 cats and I always cringe when the word “adopted” is used about animals. I love my cats— they are not children. In our house we don’t do gotcha day, we celebrate family day with an

The bigger mystery to me is, who watches these videos? Who follows these people and wants to listen to basic people spewing basic shit for 45 minutes, which could be condensed into 2 minutes but they stretch it out foreeeeever to get more $$$$?

This ‘family as performance’ shit is angering in ways I cannot reasonably put into words using my mushy quarantine brain.

A few things to add color to the discussion:

One can only expect so much interest after introducing a new character to the show. It made sense to get rid of that autistic kid character - her and the beard’s obviously real emotion and devastation makes fairly captivating content. But still... 3/5 enjoyed it, but looking for newer narcissist influencers.

Hana was also bullied because she was half-Japanese. Yama-chan has had a long history of being awful to the people on Terrace House to the point he said he was the most hated and criticised commentator.

This is gross. Hollywood can’t depict a real atrocity (and Jean Seberg’s story absolutely was one - the goal was to make an example of her so no other high-profile white people dared support the black liberation movement) without inventing a sympathetic “white savior” character the (assumed white) audience can relate

This is disgraceful. Seberg’s story is compelling enough without fictionalizing it. Hard pass.

First and foremost: YAY Symone Sanders <3

But you, you don’t have [a lie] off the top of your head? I can’t think of one,” Karen exclaimed. “I would just like even one example of a lie from the White House about the coronavirus pandemic,”

OK, the first subject got me all riled up and I skimmed through the rest (full disclosure).

God DAMN I am tired of this “Marie Kondo is selling out!” whining. Kondo is not anti-stuff. She does not object to personal possessions. She has nothing against capitalism or the acquisition of material goods. At all.

Considering the interviewer named dropped goop and Alison was smart enough to not come for goop but reached for Marie and Chrissy so easily is problematic. Millennials (who are almost 40 btw) know goop, rachel ray, giada etc. Marie Kondo is not in the cooking sphere so why bring her up? She made fun of Marie’s accent

Unfortunately, I know some people who have worked for and interacted with Alison and reported that she is... not a nice person. In fact, she was sort of egregiously careless with other people’s feelings. Not the way they put it, they used more profanity. I was super disappointed to hear this at the time, but at this
