Ya know? I was going to get all snarky and snobby about the terribleness of Olive Garden and say something about how I'd rather just stay home, etc. etc. But if this provides parents who don't usually get any time alone with an affordable date night (especially since they otherwise might not have it) then that's nice!

From the title I was seriously expecting that they cast a blonde white lady in the role.

I've been reading the r/creepypms sub on Reddit, and it's really kind of amazing how many of the inappropriate come-on, unsolicited dick pic messages utilize some form of PUA strategy.

PSA: Ladies, one of the best things you can do for yourselves is read up on PUA culture and techniques because it will help you to recognize these assholes out in the wild and then avoid them completely.

You just watched the very best the mid-1980s pop scene had to offer. I still can't believe boys dressed like that in my high school.

My 11 year old son is THE BIGGEST football fan in the world. The ENTIRE world. He knows every stat for every team, every player. Everything. He became eligible to play tackle football last year and I made up every excuse in the book as to why he couldn't play. Much to his disappointment, he went back for that one,

I am a middle school teacher in the Bay Area. I did my student teaching in a Title I district where something like 75% of the students are receiving free and reduced lunches. I now teach in one of the wealthiest bedroom communities of the Bay Area at a very large middle school (1000 6-8 graders). There are virtually

Actually Fedora's were initially women's hats (From Sarah Bernhardt's play Fedora where she wears the hat while dressed as a man.) They were popular hats for women for a while. Trilbys also come from a play with the same name but I don't think I've ever read anything saying that they were women's hats at any point.

Is a trilby a fedora that has fallen under the influence of a svengali?

Yes.

Also, keep in mind that when fedoras were popular, they were a middle class/white collar thing. People who would be wearing suits. All the time. It still trips me out to watch the crowds in old films of baseball games, how everyone in the crowd is wearing a tie.

I think my boyfriend is also cute in fedoras! Seriously, just wear it and be cool, and everyone will figure out you're cool, even if some people that wear them are not. I think part of it is that fedoras belong with a kinda dressy outfit, and a lot of the douchey fedora wearers just slap a hat on top of jeans and a

Then don't go to the Olive Garden. Also, substitute a pocket square instead of the boutonniere, like so:

I love him so very much. He's the joy bringer.

Tru Confessions: Wham Rap is one of my favorite songs and for years i've sing along to "A White cool cat in a trilby hat, maybe leather and studs is where you're at" without having an clue what a trilby was.

Thanks for the learnin' . Here's a present:

I love those flat caps on men. They look very casual.

Is this a proper fedora?

"Hats are outerwear! Never wear it inside."

Yes thank you, I have a very expensive fedora that I wear on special occasions, and I have not been able to wear in fear of being seen as a hipster (also I had to shave my beard). Thankfully this trilby wearing trend appears to have died, at least here in the flatiron.

Yes. Wearing hats indoors is rude. Take them off. I don't care if they make your outfit pop.
