You speak the truth. I was also upper-middle-class and while I got the doll (Samantha - she is the best) I got no accessories with her. I remember being 9 or 10 and thinking that the stuff sold along with the dolls was super pricey and way too much money.

Okay, my Mom was/is a really crafty lady so this stuff was all over our house and clothes in the 80's and 90's. It did not come out as easily as the ad makes it look - that shit had to be used in one go or you would never ever get it out of that squeezy bottle thing.
