Wait, people thought Legend of Mana was a bad game? I loved it. Secret of Mana and SD3 were both classics, but Legend is just so unapologetically weird. There’s all the stuff you mention in the article, but there’s also so much more. The golem-building system where you can construct new party members from spare parts.

1. Red Dead Redemption 2 (for the second year in a row)

Amen. Also Breath of Fire 3, best in the series.

Just out of curiosity, was there an editorial reason behind changing the header photo for this article? The old one seemed more relevant to her work as a professional gamer.

Disco Elysium is GOTY for me, hands down. Some of the best writing I’ve ever seen in a video game. Not just a worthy successor to Planescape: Torment, but a game that actually surpasses it.

Ever since Julian Castro stopped qualifying for the debates, I’ve been trying to decide between Sanders and Warren. Shit like this makes the decision much easier. I think I’m fully on the Warren train now.

Robots versus The Moon is the hardest choice so far. I love them both! Bring on the robo-moon!

That’s an interesting idea, but it still wouldn’t allow for most of the top-down Zelda staples: enemies, environmental objects, tools, etc.

The “Herb” is still in charge. Just because you stopped paying attention doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem anymore.

This is great and all, but I can’t be the only one still hoping for a proper top-down Zelda Maker.

This was the hardest vote so far to me. Sadly, Williamson is still out there. She’s still in the race, which means that certain media outlets are still giving her a platform for her nonsense anti-science agenda.

Dragons work very differently in BoF2 and are definitely not an insta-win button. It’s still not a super-difficult game, but it has more of a challenge than BoF1. I’d put it on par with something like FF6 in terms of challenge.

If you can deal with the translation, Breath of Fire 2 is a big improvement over the original and one of the best non-Square RPGs on the SNES. It’s also a little slow to start, but not nearly as slow as BoF 1.

Breath of Fire 2 is an amazing game with an absolutely terrible translation.

Did you mean the real world, or The Real World? Either seems like an appropriate answer.

I agree, but Michael is dead while Kanye continues to cause harm. Death is sort of the ultimate “cancel”.

Ill-suited as a VP option, but very well suited as an AG option for several of the front runners. That’s probably where she’s aiming now.

Did you still enjoy it? I understand it’s a unique experience, but is there anything out there you could compare it to?

The gameplay sounds great, but the visual style looks pretty outdated.

Is Ancestors worth getting? It’s half off right now on Epic and I’m thinking about getting it. I’ve heard some really positive stuff, but also some really negative stuff.
