+1 for dedicated “autonomous” lanes

just like they did with EZ-Pass, start with 1 (new lane, like the dedicated high cap commuter lanes) and every couple years trade a manual lane for an autonomous lane

the icewines from the niagara peninsula can be quite good (as are some from the okanagan)

when it originally happened (and for about the first 15 years after) the salt concentration in the water was not much higher than the ocean, so it was like an inland sea.  but very quickly the water started to evaporate and the salt concentration got higher and higher, eventually killing all the fish and making the

what this really means is that in about 5 years when I am in the market to pick up a lightly used Class A, there will be a glut on the market and I will get a fantastic deal.

long haul trucking in the US is not going away any time soon. that would require massive investment in and expansion of the rail network (not gonna happen) and a willingness on the part of the public to wait more than 1 day for their shit to get delivered (also not gonna happen)

I don’t want to sound like a snob either, but the canadian wine laws are batshit.

while I like danny ric, I have no confidence in his ability to know the difference between a gallon jug of gallo “burgundy” and a fine bottle of Nuits St. Georges...

~$2.1B/year flows into the MTA from bridge & tunnel tolls each year. that seems like a lot of green, but the annual budget is ~$17B

yes, they should and they should also have a consistent set of stewards from race to race.

a huge contributor to inconsistent rulings race to race is the different steward crews at each race. they should be paid professionals who go to every race just like the safety car driver and race director.

salton sea only exists due to an industrial accident (poorly built canal blew out and dumped all its water into the basin for 2 years)

salton sea exists because a man made canal overflowed massively due to shoddy construction. like great salt lake in Utah, it has no natural outlet and no or nearly no natural inflow. it is basically a giant industrial accident.

it contains massive concentrations of rare earth elements in an exceptionally easy to access

the thing with Bernie is when the opportunity came to buy the commercial rights to F1, he tried to get all the other team bosses to go in with him on it. they were all like “why would I want that?”

$6B and a series of supermodel trophy wives later, I suspect they regretted not buying in.

came for Rutger Hauer’s character from “The Hitcher”

for sure. I do like how finland just “detained” every large yacht in the country until the owners come clean though.

too bad civil forfeiture is only used against poor people.

so, at minimum it would need to be at least 7 cents a gallon cheaper to even break even, not including added maintenance costs due to non-e15 rated fuel system components, additional corrosion and smog output.

you know, autopilot is _never_ responsible right? the driver is always responsible. says so right on the ack they have to click every time they use it.

E-15 doesn’t actually save you any money in practice, because the reduced price per gallon is offset by the reduction in miles per gallon on the less powerful fuel.

regardless of the safety changes necessary, would watkins even end up being a good track as is for F1?

IT HAS A MANUAL!!!!!!! (I’ll be in my room)
