well, I’ve lived in europe (germany) driven in paris, driven in tokyo, grew up outside NYC and now live in the boston area. never had a problem driving a stick in traffic and I’ve spent plenty of time in traffic jams. does an automatic make it easier? sure.  also makes it boring as all hell.
