looks like the clips or through bolts that are supposed to grab the groove in those mounting pegs were not installed/twisted to the lock position.

I agree most modern cars are less fun in all ways except mashing the gas pedal, but from an objective evaluation (lap time, safety at the limit, approachability at the limit, slalom times, braking stability into a curve) modern, unmodified production cars are in every way massively better…
