brakes are going to stay the same maximum diameter.

the original reason for the 13" wheels was to limit the size of the brake disks.

why is this heat exchanger in the bash plate?

why is the fairing on this thing (and for that matter, basically all ADV bikes) so ugly and unprotective?

I mean, I get that weight matters, but it is entirely possible to not make them all so fucking ugly.  this would look _soooo_ much better if the headlight looked like an old school round headlight and the

given this is a front engine car, and the “louvers” are actually intakes (and the reverse orientation of how louvers would be).... what is their purpose?

hmm, looking again, they seem to be applique vanes/vortex generators, and not either intakes or louvers....

I assume they have a full time rear view camera to provide

if it was a stick, maybe $8k, but this is a slushbox.  CP.

also, for any coffeemaker with an internal boiler (like a mr coffee, keurig, or fancy cappuchino machine) using distilled water (or even just water run through a good filter) will greatly lengthen the time between descaling and in the case of the high end espresso machines prevent having to send it back to the company

I’m not sure why this is actually news. Sale/Leaseback agreements are an exceptionally common way to grab some quick cash/make your balance sheet look better for wall street.

that’s easy, each parent had 1 blue gene, blue is recessive.

the problem is when both parents are blue eyed and the kid has brown, or both parents have red hair and the kid has black.

I would hazard a guess that only 1 in 10,000 of these are ever used in cars that are delivered with them.

like nissan says, tow operators either have one in their toolbin or use a system that doesn’t require them (like wheelforks).

thanks for the link. hadn’t seen/heard that.

so they have actually figured out the real damascus process? last I heard it was lost to time and the current layering technique (which is really much more like the japanese sword process) was basically as close as we could come...

but if they replace the engine, how will I ever sell it at Barrett Jackson in 30 years as a Numbers Matching Soul?

the financial damages will be unthinkable!

I would bet the fit and finish on the Caddy is miles ahead of the Tesla, and I would also bet that the interior finishes and amenities of the base Caddy are worlds nicer than the base Model Y.

I would expect if you option the Model Y up to the same level as the base Caddy the prices are pretty comparable.

$24/mo after $4000 down and a 6000 mile/year allowance. that’s about 16 miles a day  before you start hitting per mile penalties.

not saying he’s a liar, saying he is making assumptions based on first impressions and talking out of his ass.

worth _an_ article? sure. 5 (current count) no.

hadn’t heard the assertion that a witness said they were “going out try autopilot”, would love to see a link. but assuming that is a true statement, then even

I would expect we will shortly get video from Tesla showing the driver sitting in the driver seat at the time of impact. they claim to have data that shows AP was not involved and the car did not have FSD. they have (IIRC) an automated system that pushes the last few minutes of data up as soon as an accident is

I would really love to see the option of swappable battery packs so you could have full on racing with short pit stops.

otherwise this is going to quickly become a fuel economy exercise.

I could swear that 27-21 is 6, not 4 (also 25-19 and 30-24)...

just how much money is Detroit paying G/O to shit on tesla at every opportunity?

3 articles in one day, each one either explicitly blaming Tesla or implying that they are at fault, where by all available evidence, it looks like the driver lost control at high speed and hit a fucking tree. probably showing off ludicrous

MAGA FTL again.  what a moron.
