now with 70% less hideous:

the $$ to Ugly ratio of these cars is astounding.

these even out ugly the last gen civic in max ugly form.

5,860, not 5,268 - dyslexia is a bitch.

when it started the flip up maneuver at the end I literally shouted “holy shit, they’re gonna pull it off!” and then immediately laughed as hard as I have in a long time when it went RUD.

not out of scorn, but out of pure joy that they have the balls to approach this whole enterprise in such a fearless manner.  these

sorry, I’m not down with OPP (yeah you know me)

this car was among the last of the real Cadillacs. everything that came after was largely badge engineered and lacking in personality.

I am not fond of this particular generation of the Eldo, but I respect it for what it is.

and yet, they claim all the time “we don’t do embargoes” as a reason not to have coverage of something.

I don’t really care at all about embargoes on new car reveals and such.  I just think it is pretty much a big lie that they tell to make themselves feel like they have some ethical superiority over other news

why didn’t you at least preserve the yellow segments of the tail lights?

so when did you guys start agreeing to embargoes?

clearly you must have because yesterday afternoon all the Bronco Sport in depth reviews dropped IAW the embargo date and here is yours. seems awfully unlikely you were able to get your hands on a BS, test it and produce this in the time since the embargo ended....

yeah, no either the 956/962 Group C or the Audi diesel WRC, or the 911 for ever.  the 911 basic car has been winning since 1968.  sure it is abe lincoln’s axe at this point, but the core architecture is the same and no other car has ever been able to seriously challenge it in its class for more than a short period of

bump

the CR-Z is hated mostly because it isn’t a CR-X.

people wanted light, simple,  sporty, fun to drive civic 3 door like the original CR-X with great mileage and they got an overweight, not sporty, lux’d up un fun civic that didn’t get anywhere near the mileage that the old CR-X got.

possibly, ironic that being patient is what cost max today.

then the motoGP drs should have said no.  bones take a minimum of 12 weeks.

incomprehensible that Honda allowed him back on the bike the week after.  what the fuck were they thinking?

incomprehensible to me that a driver who has proven year after year that he belongs in F1 on merit, but has only ever had a ride because of the mexican telecom money he brings, will now be out of F1 when probably half the field are not as fast and several of those who are slower don’t bring money.

would love to see him

last year’s race car is not “survives to this day”. it is last year’s race car. there are literally 10s of thousands of last year’s race cars around. this car is not special, it is not old. it may be cool, but using the phrase “survives to this day” implies that is somehow special.

it is not.

still, it is in no way a classic or at all old.

union boys. zoom in on the stickers on their hard hats...

those were clean cuts.  love the radius’d corners.

the longitudinal 3 from the Triumph Rocket would totally be the ticket.  correct orientation, shaft drive and there are off the shelf solutions for adding reverse (basically an interposer gearbox) that are not terribly expensive.
